QuoteI think I'd like to campout in your yard... then maybe meet the mrs.

Please do!  I require only a modest economic rent for enclosing my commons with your tabernacle.  The Mrs. would be glad to cook up something special for you and yours.  Visitors are always welcome at the Grennon homestead.  It's just one more service I offer.

I woke up from a dream...

Went to a show to see Yes and because of "noise ordinances" you could hardly hear the band. The band and the audience become very frustrated... a bunch of us went right down front... remember festival seating?  (Back in the day, the man didn't dare come into the arena... we had our own rules of conduct.)

The venue tried to stop us... but, during "Roundabout" everyone's frustration reached it's peak. The band didn't want to continue to disappoint us with the low sound, so they cranked it up and really started to jam... replaying the song and it was glorious.

The venue made them end the show and we all stormed the stage...

I woke up all frustrated and bummed out. A lot of that mental state lately...

I feel like "storming the stage"... older, more responsibilities... in a word torn.

Hey Hollywood, WTF am I having dreams about Yes and my youthful days for?

Some kind of metaphor I guess. "I'll be the round about..."

Russell Kanning

It all comes back to Yes.

For Tom ... it is only a couple of steps.

Hmm...

Perhaps your dream presaged my return to the forum. ;)

I have been in a similar state of mind since I left NH. I am torn between wanting to be in NH with my friends pursuing liberty and being here helping to care for an ailing family member.

Jigsaw puzzle traitors
Set to spill the beans
Constitution screw up
Shattering the dreams
Blood flows in the desert
Dark citadels burning too
Watch! Look over your shoulder
This one is strictly for you

Hold on - Hold on
Wait maybe the answer's
Looking for you

Hold on - Hold on
Wait! Take your time
Think it through
Yes! I can make it through

Hold on - Hold on
Sunshine shine on through
Hold on - Hold on
Sunshine shine on you
...

"Hold On"

Fox Trot is a good album and can be traced to Yes in way less than 6 steps.

Let's see. Phil Collins played drums on that album and, around the time of the album's release, was a candidate to replace original Yes drummer Bill Bruford. Bruford later played drums for Genesis on tour after Phil Collins became lead singer. :)

I was in a 'Yes'  tribute group.  We called ourselves:  'No'.   We couldn't get any gigs though because our receptionist would answer the phone with:  "NO"

Sometimes I can't tell if you're joking, Lloyd. I guess that's why you're a Master Kidder. 8)

True story: there was almost a Yes album called "Know" but most of the band said no. :P

Russell Kanning

Yes is a No tribute band since Lloyd came first.
