It was beautiful this morning! A winter wonderland with no ice. We went out to breakfast for a change. Can't get used to those deep fried potatoes for breakfast. The alternative of beans(?!?) is worse.

I really don't understand what it is around here with people eating beans at breakfast.

Wouldn't occur to me

Pat K

If you don't eat your beans, no dessert for you.

No, no typo. People actually eat beans at breakfast around here. I haven't figured it out yet.

I have never heard of such a thing.

I am boggled.

Kat Kanning

I saw that in Mexico.  I've never seen it here.

Hash browns don't really exist, either. At least not my definition. Most breakfast potatoes here are chunks of deep fried potatoes, overly fried at that. Occasionally they are grilled and that is better. Some places offer "hash browns" that are just the deep fried patty things like McD's has. To get shredded potatoes, gently grilled, I have to go to Denny's. Not many of those around either.

Don't even think about looking for grits.

I won't even think about it! ;)

This was the scene out our back window on Sunday morning:

Kat Kanning

It was pretty, the way it was sticking to the trees.

Cathleen, I hear they serve grits every day in prison.

Russell Kanning

I like all of those things for breakfast ..... especially if there is snow outside.

Guess what? It's April 3 and look what it is doing out here!

Eh, it's all flurries and sleet. Driving should be fun.

It's OK, I have my 'studs' to assist me.  :P
