Liberty-loving people of Keene,
Your options, to be blunt, suck.
Some Freedom-loving Keene residents need to run for office. Hopefully that will be *you* will in '08.

State Rep
For now, please, please get rid of the Constitutional Threat!
It's easy to remember who NOT to vote for, her last name, after all, is "Butcher".

I suggest you vote for:
J. Timothy Dunn
Kris Roberts
Arto Leino
David Harvey
Marilyn Huston
Write-in: Russel Kanning
Write-in: Kathryn Dillon

The last two are write-in candidates. If elected, I doubt they will serve, and that's a HUGE improvement over the "D", "F", or "CT" they'd be displacing!

State Senate
Thomas R. Eaton
He's a "C", but I bet you anything Kelly will be an "F", or worse.

Governor
Write-in: Richard B. Kahn

Cheshire County Attorney
Scott A. Trendell
Independent, probably less authoritarian than incumbent William Albrecht, who made the "Bad Cop News"

Cheshire County Treasurer
"Fred" S. Parker

Question 1
Answer "YES"
This will cut back at the State's use of the odious Eminent Domain

Question 2
Answer "YES"
This will increase the already excellent level of direct representation in NH

What are Questions 1 and 2 for?
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/2006votersguide.pdf

They are the proposed NH Constitutional Amendments that passed the House and Senate, and got signed by the Governor. They now go to the People, who must approve by a two-thirds majority for the amendments to take effect.

Question #1 is The Big One!! It would prevent the State from using Eminent Domain for "private development"

In other words, Question #1 would prevent a Kelo-style situation from happening in NH.

Russell Kanning

A vote for "Shorty" is a vote for freedom. All the others stink.

Molly Kelly comes into my work everyday, and I can't stand her.

Now that would make a fun LTE. ;D

Rocketman

In Amherst/Milford, I've found that my reps are far above average.  Of the eight (all R's), only one voted wrong on Real ID, and he has since passed away in a car wreck (right in front of my house, incidentally).  Another is Wheeler, the NHLA rep of the year, who is unfortunately not running for reelection.  The worst of the eight reps was a C.  My senator, Peter Bragdon, is the NHLA's #2-rated senator, one of only two R's who stood up to Gatsas and the feds on Real ID.

It does make me sort of glad I don't live in Keene, although I like that little town and the folks there.   :)

Having terrible reps would get on my nerves, and I have enough on my mind in Manchester. :clock:

Russell Kanning

When you just hang out with nice people and ignore the government any town feels free. :)

Ah, but, an opportunity to poisen her!

That's a GREAT suggestion!
Soundwave, you'd have to send in the LTE *today*, but it would be GREAT to send just two sentences, like:
"Kelly comes to the place I work. I hate to say it about any customer, but she is just not very friendly or nice. I don't think she should 'represent' any of us in Keene!"

That could very well be the straw that kills her election camel. DO IT!

Slocum was one of the good guys.
Smiting you is the least I can do for that comment.
Remind me not to include you in my will.
