I tried writing a mystery once with some friends, but, they dropped the ball

Kat Kanning

And the ball fell and hit some poor bystander on the head....

Lloyd Danforth

falling practically at her feet the unfortunate bystander brought unwanted attention to Mary Contrary. Turning before anyone could recognise her, she ran up an alley....

Kat Kanning

Where she found a huge bonfire and a strangely smiling man in a long cloak.

The ancient cloaked one said, "Let it be known that the petty tyrant's days are numbered."

..and, low and behold, someone pushed that guy's car up against a wall and broke his neck.....

Question -  Is it morally wrong to pay for a UN flag that you're going to burn?  Shouldn't we be stealing them instead?

:icon_pirat:
Only if the UN gets any of the sale price. :)

Just make a paper effigy of it and the UN building, and burn that. >:D

Here's a great deal on UN flags in 3' by 5' -- if you buy 100 or more, they cost $1.80 each (individually, they are $9.95):

1           $9.95
2-9        $7.95
10-19     $5.95
20-49     $3.95
50-99     $2.50
100+      $1.80

I bet some enterprising liberty lover could buy 100 of them and make a profit by selling them at the next PorcFest for $3 each (2 for $5); they'd be perfect kindling for a nice campfire.

Kat Kanning

That'd be a lot of UN flag burning!  ;D

Lloyd Danforth

We have found many flags are synthetic and melt rather than burn.

error

Hm, the site says they're polyester flags.

Spencer

I wonder who you call to find out which flag material burns "best"?

Regardless, it would be a funny phone call to make.

Kat Kanning

No need to call...cotton burns best.
