So, after several weekends of househunting up north, it looks like we're reeeeealy close to making on offer on this house in Brentwood. Anyone have any inside info on this town? Of all the place we've looked at, it's the closest to Manchester, where my job will be. We wanted to stay somewhat close to the Seacoast area.

Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I can see them making it an historical site someday :)  After we've shrunk the government down to a point where it can't designate historical sites of course.

I'm thinking of putting up the Culpeper flag - Liberty or Death.

I like the Yellow one just because Yellow/Orange seems like the LP color to me. I think it's been hinted at before. Not that I particularly like the LP, but it's still a nice symbol.

Very nice house. I don't know anything about Brentwood, other than that I choked at the housing prices. The very first (lowest) listing on NNREN was $150,000, for an old mobile home. (Of course, it's on 2 acres.)

Yeah, the houses aren't cheap, but were fortunate to get into the real estate market in Boston in the late 90's, buying a two-family house with rental income to offset the mortgage payments. We converted both units to condos and will get enough for them to make that house in NH affordable for us.

Boy, I'll miss Mayor Menino's courageous leadership.  ::)

Is there supposed to be a house here?

All I see is a mansion.  ???

That's a mansion? It looked more like a moderate sized house to me. ;D
