Anyone in the "my spouse needs convincing" position should come out to the Liberty Forum! You can use it to scope the place out, a no-commitment trial run. Come on, you know you want to see Stossel, Badnarik, and all the others anyway...!

Matthew was up for Dave's hearing, and we're working on scheduling the family vacation for Porcfest 2007.
I'm the one signed up for the Liberty Forum. I'm actually glad it's in 2007 - because I'd have my name on the First 1000 Pledge within about 15 mins. of arrival in NH.

That's why I'm glad the Liberty Forum is after the deadline. I know how I feel about NH and the FSP. Being in NH  before the pledge ends would have me fired up & packing. I'll be difficult enough for my husband to deal with between the Forum & Porcfest, without trying to persuade him to move by 2008. (Because end of 2008 would quickly become Fall 2007, for the start of school year.)

It sounds like you're trying to find excuses not to come sooner rather than later!!

I just got back, and I'm already looking for cardboard boxes to pack my stuff...

You moving might be unique.... unless you don't have that much stuff. (meaning renting a truck etc).

I don't have that much stuff. And I never move furniture; it's much easier to sell off the old stuff and buy more stuff on arrival. :)

The heaviest thing I have to move weighs in at 51 pounds. And I could just sell it, too, and buy another.

"Yahd" Sales are the solution, though not during the winter.

So, have you chosen a destination yet?  Word is some new people just moved into Keene.

error

I haven't chosen a destination yet, except that it likely won't be Concord and certainly won't be Manchester. :)

Aw, c'mon, Manchester is charming in an ugly sort of way!

I ate at some diner in Manchester whose name I forget, which bills itself as one of the "Top 10 diners in the country."

The food completely sucked.

LOL the national LP just wastes every dollar and man hour they can get their hands on.    the badnarik campaign was a 400 grand affair, what is he thinking? I don't get angry about any activity unless it is proven to be wasteful.  This silly LP campaigning is such an activity.   Far as i'm concerned he doesn't exist except when he does something related to new hampshire.

Sad but true Dave. A lot of no namers in Texas took more votes as Libs than Badnarik did. Politically he just hasn't been sucessful. He's always on about how he's going to be President one day, but maybe he should prove that he can get on a School Board first. No offense to Michael. I think he has some good ideas, and he has put a lot of time and energy into supporting the LP, but I just don't think his strategy has been working too well.

If he were willing to move to NH, I think he could do well at getting in as a state rep, and maybe after a couple terms of that he could sucessfully run for Senate or executive council. With $400,000, I'm betting even a libertarian has a good shot at one of the offices. Actually with that money 2 or 3 really competitive Senate races could be won.

Anyway, I hope he does get to NH someday, but until then I won't be holding my breath.

Braddogg

I doubt Badnarik wants to play in state politics.

The more I see of NH, the more I love Keene.   8)
