it's a nice first aid tool but they don't seem to sell it in drug stores anymore.

I have some in the bathroom cabinet that looks to be vintage 60's. It's actually Hall's Mercuro Chrome, and the bottle is price stamped, 35?.

:P

As I recall, tincture of iodine stung fairly sharply upon application, whereas Mercuro Chrome was marketed as "non-irritating."

it expires actually so the 60s are probably a little far back!  however i'm told it just gets more potent after expiration.

Well, maybe I exaggerated. It's probably vintage 70's!

So, does it expire, or does it get stronger?

it expires and gets stronger a few years after you buy it, altho i dont know what happens after 30 or 40 years!
