I have changed this thread's subject from "Silver" to its present title. I did this because a) there is already a lengthy "Silver" thread debating the pros and cons of investing in silver vs. ETFs, mining stocks, etc. and b) this thread began as a silver price tracker and I would like to see it continue on as the price discussion thread. I hope others find this acceptable and helpful.

Yep, I think gold was $20.67 until FDR confiscated holdings and devalued the dollar.
