What:  Real ID demonstration during Sen. Barack Obama's visit...if I don't have a last minute schedule change.
Where:  Outside the Raddison...700 Elm Street , Manchester NH
When:  2:45pm - ?  (probably we'll wrap up half an hour after the Dems do. We may also take a break while they are all inside)
Why:  Keep our opposition to Real ID in front of the local Dems and get the presidential hopeful thinking about it.
Who: Maybe just me but you're invited.  Reach me by cell at 721 1490 for last minute details if any.  Raddison number is (603) 625-1000

The Democrats are letting it go to their head ALREADY, and they haven't even taken office! This absolutely must be protested by at least a third of the whole state:  YOU DO NOT HAVE A MANDATE.

NH DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO HOST 2006 ELECTION CELEBRATION WITH SPECIAL GUEST U.S. SENATOR BARACK OBAMA

CONCORD, NH - The New Hampshire Democratic Party will host a 2006 Election Celebration with special guest United States Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) and recently elected New Hampshire Democrats in Manchester on Sunday, December 10, 2006 to honor the historic victory that turned a red New Hampshire to solid blue for the first time since 1874.

"We are honored that Senator Obama has accepted our invitation to celebrate the historic, tidal wave victory New Hampshire's Democrats experienced this November," said State Party Chair Kathy Sullivan. "There is much to celebrate. This year's election not only means Democrats took control, it resulted in the complete flip of the last Republican strong hold in the Northeast."

WHAT: 2006 Election Celebration

WHO: U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) and New Hampshire Democrats

WHEN: Sunday, December 10, 2006

EVENT TIME: 3:30 p.m.

LOCATION:
Center of New Hampshire Ballroom
Radisson Hotel
700 Elm Street, Manchester, NH

I kinda doubt most have taken it to their heads quite yet.
Obama is Very popular among dems.  There is a push by some to encourage him to run for prez.  If the anti-war movement ever takes off, he may beat Hillary for the nomination.  She voted for the war, He did not.  She still isn't speaking out against the war, but rather only against Bushs' handling of it.

If they really think NH "flipped," they're in for a rude awakening 23 months from now.

Russell Kanning

1874 .... man the republicans have messed up bad. Nothing like a fake terrorist attack and war to really get the support behind your party.

Of course. He's tall, handsome, and erudite. He's an attractive figure for those who don't pay attention to politics.

Quotehe may beat Hillary for the nomination.  She voted for the war, He did not.

Obama didn't vote against the war, either; he only took office in 2005.

It says a lot about the Dems that they're seriously considering someone as a presidential candidate, when he only has six years as a state senator, and less than two years as a U.S. senator.

Hell I would vote for a plumber, with 3 good recomendations from his customers for Prez. Hard to imagine him doing a worse job.

OK here's my more refined brainstorm ....how about some kind of anti-real-ID sign wave.

I was thinking of making a sign that says

"would obama
force NH into
Real ID?
NHfree.com"

and showing up around 2:45 outside.   better ideas anyone?

Obama's not going to have much of an impact on Real ID.

My current thinking is the demonstration should send a clear message to the New Hampshire Democrats, since they're putting on this show specifically to gloat over their "victory" in taking over the state and plan to further enslave us all.

Some possibilities:

Indeed... it's best of the Socialists that rode in on the tide understand they did *not* win on a sweep in favor of their coercive and destructive social spending policies...

and how was W. qualified using that standard?

he used eminent domain to turn a $600K investment in a baseball team into 12 million dollars.
he got the $600K from a shadey insider trade of Harken oil stock from one of his father's buddies.

prior to that he was a drunk party boy and failure at business.

obama could slow down real id right now just by expressing doubts..  he probably could kill it by expressing doubts, were he to become president, which i think there's a fifteen percent chance he will.

I'm still leaning toward the real id sign, and i have more such signs, more generic real id opposition signs,  if anyone wants to join me.  I now think there is a ninety percent chance i'll be there.

the anti tax thing...that's something we should also and would welcome ideas as to when and where ,   but i think real id is more on target tomorrow.

gimme a ring at 721 1490 for last minute details if you're planning on linking up with me...I'll have my own signs so you wont need to make any.

I like this idea very much.

Obama could be a very effective candidate.  From a strategy standpoint, it's often better to be slightly underexperienced (like a JFK) rather than having spent gobs of time in the legislature (like a Joe Biden).  Obama has two things going for him: his charisma (he's articulate, intelligent, and charming) and the fact that he isn't personally responsible for the current screwups in DC.  On the flip side, nobody knows much about his actual politics (including me), and he's a black dude named Barack Hussein Obama.  It will be fun to watch this thing develop... maybe he's good on something like drug policy reform?  Does anybody know?

Precisely.

I'd join you if I wasn't stuck in WV for the holidays, Dada.  Pinning down the prez candidates on Real ID is a fantastic thing to do.

my sign is now complete.  it reads:

WOULD O-
BAMA FORCE
NH INTO
REAL ID?
nhfree.com

In the absence of last minute schedule changes I'll plan to be outside the radisson at 2:45 pm. and hope to see you there.
