Perhaps, but it sure came across as though you were supporting/justifying the war planning of government, to me, at least.

If you accept any level of government military (sorry, I don't recall where you fall on the *archy scale), then it would be foolish and a true waste of time for them to not spend peacetime, preparing for wartime.

Even party-line LPers who believe our military forces should never be deployed outside our borders during peacetime, believe that it's prudent for to plan good defenses. And the best defense, as the cliche goes, is a good offense. Not in violation of ZAP, but in response to an attack.
