Moderators, I think this should be moved to the "Childish" Board   8)
Threads don't get moved to the childish board ... they just get moved to Politics so that Russell will not destroy it.

Went out searching for edible herbs and roots. Not far from my hut I met a girl named Zelda. She was looking for a place to build a hut. I took her to my hut. She liked it. We became a team. Zelda told strange tales. She also snored, but I didn't mind.

Zelda told me of a great place to fish. We went together and caught a ton of fish. She knows more about herbs than me. I'm learning a lot.
Learning more about Zelda and her amazing talents. She made a rustic flute out of a piece of wood, but she gets wonderful music from it. Ah, Zelda!

Zelda and I were out gathering herbs when she was kidnapped. It seems some Vermonter named Ganon was trying to take over the world, and was morbidly obsessed with Zelda. Even moreso than I am! Sigh.
So I spend the past few weeks venturing to far-off lands on a quest to save her. The epic battle with Ganon wasn't as hard as it should have been. Quite boring actually. It was the standard magical bow-and-arrow strategy. A blindfolded, leprotic five year old could do it.
The world is safer, but I really can't be bothered with anyone but Zelda. To tell the truth, saving the world was an inadvertent side-effect of trying to save Zelda. She owed me some money, you see, and it seemed unlikely I'd be repaid while she was enslaved by some generic, two-bit, demonic bureaucrat.
Zelda and I will be having tea at dawn. Her herbal recipes sure work wonders for the soul. OK, I admit it, I sure like that girl. She gives me the jim-jams... and erythrophobia.

Cool, Mike. Glad you joined the fun.
"Tales of Icky and Zelda" Could be a best-seller.  ;D

Zelda told me the boar had to go, it made her nervous. I said, "okay". We shot the boar, saved half the meat and sold the other half to an old farmer. Then, with the money, I bought a rifle, for hunting, and a new gingham dress for Zelda. Do you know hard it is to buy a gingham dress nowadays? Golly-gee-willickers! If it weren't for those jim-jams.....

AlanM

Been gathering rocks for the fireplace. Heavy work, but am looking forward to building the fireplace. Hunting with the rifle is better. Got a deer the other day. Zelda has taken over the chore of finding edible roots and herbs. Preparing for the winter. She's cool. She'll stop what she's doing and play her flute for a while, then get back to it.

Cooperative fiction can work. A buddy of mine was writing a story with me. He had to bow out because of too much work/traveling, etc.

Love those jim-jams!
