It never had anything to do with terrorism.

The Latest PA outrage

I have a rental property that the tenant has agreed to buy. Real estate transactions are handled by abstractors in PA. I sent the deed and the buyer's name to the abstractor and about a day later I get a call and the first thing the abstractor asks is ?what is your Social Security Number Socialist Slave Number. I said politely that I don't give out that information and thought that was the end of it. A couple of days later I get a letter about the sale with ?please provide this office with your SSN and DOB? highlighted. The letter was followed up by another phone call demanding the same information- this time I spoke the the girl in an angry tone of voice explaining that ?this info is none of your FU****G business and you are pissing me off big time by demanding it.  The girl went on to explain that she is required by PA and federal law to collect this info and do a patriot act and  PA domestic relations law search using the SSN and she won't do the closing without it. I replied that she failing in her duty to represent me in this transaction and in reality acting as an agent of the control freak shit heads in Washington and Harrisburg. This bull shit has nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with citizen control. This appears to be a no win situation. If I get asked for ID and a physical address at the closing I really may go over the edge.

Anybody have any suggestions

Shoot the Bastards...
All of them...

Hard to get your deed recorded if the recorder's dead. Then again, do we really even need a recorder? And if so, must his services be provided at gunpoint?

wolf

Shoot the bastards- I am getting up there in years and near the end of my life. I would rather go down in a fire fight with the jack booted thugs than coming down with some debilitating disease and wasting away for 2 years just to die anyway.

Draconian gun registration bill introduced in the PA house. If this becomes law it would be the worst gun control law in the whole Fourth Reich.

Wow...  Just wow...

To think that this country fought a revolution over far less harsh treatment than we receive from our own government.

That proposed bill in PA is redonkulous.  Like, tar and feathers, pitchforks and torches, Lexington & Concord redonkulous.  Apparently, the government masters don't understand the concept of negative feedback.  With that kind of BS in place, I could definitely see some "Unintended Consequences" manifesting themselves.

Oh, that book should be required reading for anyone in government.

Really?  I thought the dead white dudes picked a fight because they wanted to be more like kings than subjects.

And... "redonkulous"?? ???

Dear Wolf,
My advice to you can be summed up in one emoticon:

:Bolt:

But seriously, you may think you are alone against a sea of tyrants, I did.
You would rather die fighting a hopeless battle than live in humiliation, I did.
You may think there is no one to share your utopia, if you could build it.  I did.

Then I moved to New Hampshire, there are still tyrants and defeats, but at least there are people, quite a number of them, who work towards the same goals I do.

Take a look at this video we made for our neighbor, Ed Brown, and imagine they are supporting you.
Because...they already are.

Yes, TackleTheWorld, I want to come to Porcfest 2007 and meet Russell, Lauren and everyone else. My old truck is to unreliable to take on a long trip but I just bought a new, slightly used truck (1994) and will have it on the road soon (Buying a vehicle in the People's Republic of Pennsylvania will be the subject of another post). A run to PorcFest will be it's first long trip and my first vacation in more years than I can remember.

Tom Sawyer

Man I've felt and gone through alot of the same stuff your going through...

Hey Austin Rob... WTF is with all the talk of shooting people? Do you think any good would come from it?

The latest Pennsylvania outrage. Will it ever end??

Gaulieter Edward G. Rendell,  of the Peoples Republic of Pennsylvania, following in the footsteps of Adolf Hitler, today signed into law the Clean Indoor Air Act, which will protect the peasant population of Pennsylvania from the deadly health effects of secondhand smoke by prohibiting smoking in most public places, including restaurants, workplaces and a portion of casino floors.

One small gesture for freedom

They passed the no smoking law in New York State several years ago. There is a bar just across the river (The Carriage House) in NY where the owner permitted his customers to smoke after the NY smoking ban was passed. One day some NY enforcement asshole went in the bar and caught everybody smoking. The jerk told the owner to make everybody put out their smokes because it is against the law. The owner replied "screw you, it's your law you tell them" Needless to say the Carriage house was closed up for 3 days and had to make a large extortion fine payment
