Some sand isn't going to help for an entire hill. Time for more extreme measures.

TNT, Grenades and a minivan launcher!!! 8)  I made it up this morning, there was a little more traction today.  This is what I need :meteor: or  :sunny: or  :campfire: and  :tent: at the end of the dirt road with plenty of  :weed: :occasion14: and  :pizza:

Yea ... that is just not an easy vehicle for steep and slippery stuff. Studded snow tires would help though.

I have to hit the lottery first, can't afford new tires.  I miss my old '77 Chevy Nova, that was my favorite car.  When we moved to Florida I couldn't bring it because Rick said it would be a pain in the butt.  I'd love to get rid of the Windstar it's a gas hog and we don't have a family of 10 with us up here like in Maryland so I don't need a van but we owe $$ on it and I'd have to trade it in, get a whole new loan and probraly a new car too.  I want an old Chevy Nova again!  After our accident in Florida 3 years ago, my other Ford Windstar was totaled and it did save our lives and the girl in front of us too so I got another one because I was scared of driving anything else, I asked the dealership if I could get the van with roll down windows and nothing electric, he laughed at me. :-\

If it makes you feel any better ... I don't think a chevy nova would be that great on ice either.

I know but it would so much cooler than being stuck in a minivan.  :D

Are studded tires legal in your area?  If not, chains are a pain in the butt, but they work.

I must learn about these things, I didn't even know they made studded tires, thanks! :D

I would never be without my studs.  ;D

Heh, and here I was expecting a rant against bureaucrats, when I was faced with a more serious foe: frozen water!  Sorry to hear about the problem :-/
No rants against the bureaucrats, sorry!  :D  I don't post much politically because I simply don't understand enough right now (I'm trying to learn by reading), it's confusing and I don't want to sound stupid. :-\

Here are a couple people you could rant against with good authority. Ask them what is missing in their lives that they have to expect the government to confiscate wealth from others just to shore THEM up???

I am sure you could tell these two stupid twits where to go...

Don't ever think you are 'unqualified' to counter this crap....there is a lot of stuff I don't know about how things work, but believe me, when it comes to redistribution of the wealth, it's not that hard.

Vote Tyler Stearns

Rainey...I know your road, you definitely need snow tires, hun. Wait until you have to drive up my road & driveway for the next PLN meeting.  We may have to do valet parking!

I think I have all weather radial tires, I'm not sure I'd have to ask Rick.  I know I had a flat tire in Maryland, the tire couldn't be patched so we had to buy a new tire and it cost almost $200.00 so I hope they're good tires.
I bought a jug of instant ice melt or something like that today, now I have to get a shovel to keep in the van.  Gosh how steep is your road/driveway?
I think I read a post of yours last week and you said you were sick, are you feeling better?  I'm looking forward to our next meeting, I've had a really nice time the last 2 times we all got together.  :)

I get confused with a lot of political terminology and I would love to get more active, even writing to newspapers I would just need someone to critique my rough draft before I sent them in.  I have a lot of issues on my mind that I'd like to write about in the editorials I just don't want to come off sounding dumb and hurting the freedom movement in any way.  I need to find a specific issue that's not too confusing to begin with.  I keep feeling like I'm not doing enough and it's discouraging I just am not sure where to begin.  :-\
What I understood from the first link that you posted is that this person wants New Hampshire to be taxed like other states are being taxed and he feels we are behind the times.  Am I right?  The second link was confusing to me and I'm not sure I understand it.   :help: :help:

I know I post here alot and really love getting to know everyone and I like everybody that I communicate with too but maybe my posts are out of place?  Maybe I need to post more freedom/political based posts?  I don't want anyone to think I take anything that is going wrong in this country lightly because I don't even though a lot of my posts are goofy and funny.  What do you think?

Well the article from the second person thinks the 'rich' are not being taxed enough to fund 'education' in NH. He thinks income taxes will be redistributed toward that goal. He thinks property taxes are unfair, because after all, if you decided to rent or go to a lesser abode, you could avoid all that. You could even live in a commune and split the cost. Bottom line is, you have CONTROL over how much you are willing to pay. He wants Lynch to go against his Pledge, which I have in my hot little hands, to 'do the right thing' which of course we all know is the wrong thing...by telling him he has no choice.

Me, I know I'm paying big taxes because I want to stay in the house I built. It's my choice. But they want to tax my income on top of that!

The first writer says she wants government to collect MORE money so it can DO MORE for all of us, as if that is its responsbility, OR ELSE she will vote them out (good!). She enumerates all the things she wants to get from government at the expense of others.

Just think of it as redistributionism -- and the Marxist credo: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" (or needs) is a slogan popularized by Karl Marx in 1875 and now the NH Democrats have adopted this philosophy it seems.

I doubt you would have trouble addressing that simple concept but if you want someone to look over your LTE, I'd be happy to: webmaster at cnht dot org!

I write at least 1 letter per day to a different paper. They don't always get in, but it makes me feel  at least I showed the papers that their readers are not all communistic.

PS - I think the person in the first letter is talking about the national Democrats but, the NH Democrats have just as wicked an agenda, believe me.

Okay I would love you to look over any letters I write to the editors, thanks! Thank you for explaining those articles to me also.  So should I start by getting the Sunday local papers here in Campton and reply to letters already printed in that edition?  Or should I just pick a topic I feel strongly about and write a fresh topic letter?  I'm thinking until I get the hang of writing to newspapers that replying would be a better idea, what's your opinion?
