Don't forget about the Family Truckster!

(Gas cap in the hood??!??)

Got a whole lot of ice on our mountain still. Had a tree next to the house snap large portions off, one of which landed on the roof last night.

More wind and a windchill expected of -15. I bet I'll hear more snapping and crashing tonight.

On the upside it was beautiful when the sun broke through and was sparkling in the ice covered trees.

I had to fill up on gas today, and in order to do that, I had to chip ice off of the fuel door.

That side of my car faces the street and probably gets pelted by all the crap off the road as the plows run by, and there's not a blessed thing I can do about it now (short of a tarp).

Funny you should mention that....

You know, I started to relate "Friday vs the Ice Storm of '07: Round 2", but it's just getting so long I should probably stick it on my blog. :eastsnow:  Also, the power just flickered again.  ::)

Wow Sandy.  We went to Manchester last night and there was so much ice!  There's basically no ice in Keene.

What do they call bikes in Merrimack Valley?

Ice cycles  :P

Yes, it's very interesting.  I keep hearing these sounds like gunshots, but I think it's actually trees exploding!  :o  A big pine tree across from my apartment building split vertically down the middle of the trunk, and half of it fell over.  The pine trees look very depressed and droopy because the weight of the ice is pulling their branches down towards the ground.

But on the plus side, some of the deciduous trees look incredibly beautiful.  When the sunlight shines on them, they look like they're made of silver.  :)

We have a tree up from the house that the light is refracting through the ice drops sparkling a rainbow of colors. :)

Would other people see these rainbows, or is it just you?   :o
