I didn't log on all day... then I logged on and of course click on the 'show unread posts since last visit'

Nothing showed up.  Weird because I know that there are a bunch of threads I haven't read.

Or should I post this in bitchin' and whinin'?

I've had it where I've opened a page in this forum in a tab and my browser crashes.  When I reopen the page, I have no unread posts since last visit, which is weird but makes sense from the browser-cookie standpoint.

It's still really annoying... but at least you can view all unread posts and scroll back to when you're reasonably certain you last visited.

I don't know why this would do this for you if your browser didn't crash.

OK and now I see this one....  ???

It has a strange concept of "visit." Just view all unread posts; it's reasonable that you haven't read them!

they broke unread;all in 1.1, I posted bugs about it during the beta, but nobody seemed to care.  It's now tied to cookies on your PC, so I see different unread posts depending on the computer I use.  If I restart the browser, everything is marked read.

error

Now that's just bad design.
