the living room is the factory and the product being manurfactured is you.
  it creates your responses.
it is a powerfull tool to bring humanity down by design.
television is mult-layered junk for your soul.
  it creates you.
that terrible day of sept. 11th we were terrorized.since then EVERY DAY the TELEVISION is full of fear (terror), subverted and multi-layered.

I'd rather spend my time surfing nhfree.com it is so much more entertaining... Although I'll admit I watch one TV show...LOST...I blame my brother-in-law for getting me hooked (he played it for me on his 'puter first). I usually download LOST from itunes -- does that count as watching TV?

Yes, it counts.

Don't eat the grass!

This all reminds me of something I saw demonstrated last summer, the so-called TV-B-Gone. It's a little keychain fob which will turn off any television you point it at. I think we need about 300 million of them.

I'm going with Molto Mario, HighStakes Poker, and TheGolfChannel.

How's that for layering? ;)

As a child, my parents refused to pay for cable, so I grew up without TV with the exception of a few snow channels. I can't stand watching television.

Yea --  I'd be one of those parents if it weren't for hubby -- We have basic cable with 20 channels -- which I consider a waste of the $9.00 per month.

I rarely watch television, though I have my 1,000+ channel satellite system and coulnd't live without it.  Its not that I even watch the things.... its just knowing thats its there, and I have 1,000+ channels at my disposal should I ever need them.

Ya' have to adopt the George Carlin theory of life.

"Fuck it!"

Life is just one big clusterfuck under Carlins theory, and ya' just got to sit back and enjoy the freak show... because thats what it is.... a show...

No matter how much horseshit we have to see on TV on every channel, no matter how often Democrats and Republicans seem to be saying the exact same things, just phrasing it differently (hence the terms Republicrat or Demopublican to describe the concatenation between the two)... ya just got to sit back and enoy the bullshit for what it is.... good ol' fashioned entertainment.  FDA warning says: Taking TV seriously can lead to headaches, cramps, nausea, bloating, diarreah, mental derangement, and clinical paranoia.

I learned a lot from Mario when I watched him years ago.  All the Texas Hold'em  show are beginning to look like the one last week.  Shanna is interesting.  I like the forensics shows, Mythbusters, SNL, Colbert  and some  PBS  stuff.
If I miss something it is no big deal.  Got the rest of my life to catch it......or not.

The games are just becoming a blurr. The same nasty extroverts making the final table, but, seldom the nicer guys and attractive women.

Dreepa

I can't believe that people watch fuckin' poker games on tv... I thought golf on TV was bad.

TIVO  the answer to TV. (if you must watch)
