New York, Maryland, and DC get mailed to Andover, MA, but New Jersey doesn't?

Errrrghh... how does that make any sense?

CT doesn't get sent to MA, either.

What day of the week do you think would be best for us to go to the IRS office in some sort of Don Quixote outfit and give them an eviction notice or some such?
Thursday .... when the office is open
Saturday .... so more people can be present

We're talking about doing Don Quixote this year for April 15th.  Russell would dress up like Don Quixote and joust with stuffed IRS agents outside the Keene IRS office.
;D

:fencing:

About the 16th:  What exactly is Patriots day?  You don't honor New England's football team I presume...

SAY WHAT?
Can you say the first arms "negotiation" in the colonies? (MA/ Lexington & Concord)

John

April 19, 1775 was not about taxes - this one was about the right to keep and bear.
The bad/evil guys came to strip the regular folks of one of their means of resistance to tyrany - a tyrany much less oppresive than what we have today.  April 19th is a VERY SAD day on the calendar; for all that we have lost.

Anyway, on a happier note; I hope to make it out to Keene soon.   :)

We will be doing this on April 17th at the Keene Post office

Some could argue that it started in at the Boston Massacre or Boston Tea Party or the Stamp Act or even the French and Indian War... but Lexington and Concord was indeed the true start that led to the siege of Boston etc.

If I were running a government school, I'd gloss over all that open, armed rebellion stuff. It might give kids ideas, and we can't have that.

Are you kidding?  Open, armed rebellion is the perfect opportunity for the government to display its rightful benevolent democratic authority by squashing all dissenters!

Yes, the government can play these up -- when it actually DOES squash all dissenters.

"See, kids?  Open, armed rebellion was important for the founding of this nation, but it's not the sort of thing we can tolerate today."

What do they call those?  Object lessons?

So far, except for Russ, this thread is 90% Debate Society  ::)

Any sign ideas? I am 90% likely to do a sign-hold.
I am thinking something like:

  INCOME TAX is SOCIALISM
  NHFREE.COM

Russell Kanning

that is a good sign
We will be doing our stuff on the 17th in Keene.
Where and when are you going to hold your sign?

Kat Kanning

Cool, Denis.  Where do you think you'll do it?
