I'm fine with being under the radar.  Then once the porcupines outnumber all the other political activists of any stripe in the entire state, they won't know what hit them.

Quantrill

Quoteall this with only 150 people having moved. I suspect the thought of 1,000 liberty lovers in the state gives the Telegraph editorial staff nightmares.

if it's stalled then why are they still talking about it five years later?

was cool however to see they think there are already 1k of us here when there are only half that heh heh.

(And what's with all the smiting?)

mvpel, if you want to mention yourself, you can write your own letter! ;)

It is going to be a hoot when they have to write about the Liberty Forum in less than a month. After all it is an official FSP event and will be a pretty big splash that can't be ignored.

They also won't be too happy when me, my bro, and my best friend move in next year and start threatening their socialist paradise. Liberty-lovers are on their way!

QuoteRight now many Free State Project members are going to town meetings, scouring town budget details for unnecessary line items, and arguing to hold down property taxes and wasteful spending. Others are making trips to Concord, testifying before committees and performing triage on every LSR to determine the impact on our liberty. Still others are engaging in attention-grabbing civil disobedience, such as the Outlaw Manicurist, the silent protester, the mock Nazi checkpoint in Concord opposing REAL ID, and those who are lending support to Ed Brown in his battle with the IRS.

Don't forget the one who was the first to move from out of state (California) after the selection of New Hampshire, who presently serves on the Board of Directors of Gun Owners of New Hampshire, and as the organization's treasurer.

Not to toot my own horn, or anything.
I have heard 2-3 people claim that they were the first movers.
Not trying to dis but someone on this board said some chick (don't know her name) was the  first mover.

The way things are now a LOT of people might not be too happy with you, but don't let that discourage you from DOING things.

You will go to bed wondering if you are a flaming liberal, social conserative, or pure anarchist. You will get it from all sides, believe me.

But again, don't let this being a thankless job hold you back from doing SOMETHING, to roll back government.

Not taken as a dis, by any means - Caren and I have never spoken to anyone who we confirmed having moved here from out of state earlier than we did, back when the Porcupine meetings were usually held around Cal & Karen Pratt's kitchen table - they arrived the week after we did.  I still miss their delightful rental place up on Shirley Hill Road - great view of the Manchester fireworks that year.

So should I give myself props for being the 1st person to sign up?  Prolly not, as it's '07 and I still haven't made it up there yet.  No matter, I'll be there soon enough...

The WMUR "Chronicles" episode on the FSP highlighted a pretty young thang and called her the first post-vote mover. She worked for Lethal Force Institute (IIRC), modeled for graphic novels, and did yoga. But so far as I can tell, no one on either the Underground of FSP forum has had any contact with her, so I don't know if she's an activist, or just a freedom lover living her life.

The Pratts were also featured in that episode.

that might not have been wmur

she might not be here anymore

They forget to mention people like myself who are already in NH and woken up to fight for freedom. Instead they talk about how the libertarian movement is an "invasion."

It's not an invasion. It's "reinforcements for the defenders".  8)

I don't want to change NH. I want to keep it "NH".

Once the slide towards Massachusettism is stopped, then we can bring NH back to what NH was. And the min-/anarchists can quibble, but I think when things get back to where they were, most will be pretty happy with their lives.

Did they mention when she moved (or her name, for that matter)?  The vote was announced October 1, 2003, and Caren and I left California on November 14, 2003, and arrived in New Hampshire after a cross-country RV trip the evening of November 20, 2003.
