New Spending Bill Helps Agencies

Washington, D.C -- Schools, veterans and the AIDS battle in Africa benefit from a new federal spending bill.

Congress approved a $463.5 billion measure to keep the government running. It covers every domestic agency except homeland security and was left over by the congress.

Final senate action is expected close to the February 15 deadline.

Notice the phrase "except homeland security."  Maybe you'll be able to petition the IRS in peace now.  I wonder how long the homeland security department can exist without funding?

Boston Police department - tens of millions of dollars

Boston bomb squads and equipment - tens of millions of dollars

The fact that all these highly trained security professionals could not tell the difference between 20 light brights and true explosive devices leading to mass panic and a near shutdown of the city - Priceless!
