Gas Stations

First--I'm moving to NH (Milford) in about a month!  I'm very excited to be coming.
Second--I'm coming from Seattle and noticed that there are almost none of the same gas stations in NH.

The only gas stations I found in NH that I'm familiar with are Shell and Citgo, and I'm not too fond of either.  I'm partial to Chevron (or Texaco) here.

So--which gas stations are the best?
I'm not at all familiar with:  Sunoco, Mobil, Exxon, Valero, Getty, Gulf, Hess, etc...
Any opinions?  Maybe I should have started a poll...

Thanks!

Welcome!
There is a Sunoco and Exxon in my town.

Irving , Mobil, Sunoco, Exxon are all in Concord (off the top of my head)

Maybe I don't pay very close attention, but I haven't really had any problems with any gasoline I've purchased in New Hampshire.  I usually just go for the cheapest per-gallon price, anyway (not that there's a huge difference between most stations, anyway).

There's no real difference in quality in gasoline.

Exactly.  It all comes from whomever has the nearest depot.  If Mobil has a closer depot, guess where the Irving station gets its gas?  Somewhere else, there's an Irving depot closer to a Mobil station, and that Mobil station is really selling Irving gas.

It's all the same.

Except for Chevron.  Techron is demonstrably a better additive than the stuff used by the other brands, but there are no Chevron stations around here, that I've noticed.

I usually buy Hess or Irving, because they are the cheapest stations on my regular travels.  The Mobil station on Rt16 just as you enter Newington heading south is about the cheapest station I've seen, so I go there if I'm on my way into Newington for some reason.

Right--so I guess the question is better rephrased:

Which gas stations in NH have the best fuel additives?  Or, possibly--which gas stations are commonly perceived as having the best quality?

Sounds like they all are basically the same.  Why then is it that certain station brands (Getty comes to mind) are commonly cheaper than other nearby stations?

Anybody boycotting Citgo because they are essentially owned by Hugo Chavez?

Everyone except Chevron has essentially the same additive package.  Some differences, but similar quality.

The price differences are related to marketing, overhead, and location.  Once station may make money by charging more per gallon, and selling fewer gallons.  Another may make money by charging less per gallon and selling more volume.

FYI, the Getty station nearest my house is probably the most expensive station in the immediate area.  Some of the Mobil stations tend to be the cheapest, even though I've found that most Mobil stations tend to be among the highest in most other areas.

Have been for years, now...

And the gas stations up in Lincoln charge 20-30 cents per gallon more than down in Plymouth "because they can."

Hey, it's not their fault that tourists don't fill up on the way... ;)

I am. I don't like giving socialists money, and it's easier to not give to those socialists who won't steal everything I have and throw me in the clink if I don't "give".

Amusingly enough, by that logic, I also support fundamentalist Islam. Sigh. Anyone know of any Liberty Fuel Shoppes? :/

Get a diesel vehicle.  Either convert it to use filtered, used, fryer oil  and/or use Bio-Diesel fuel.   You won't be 100% off DDJ ( dead dinosaur juice)  because  most Bio is made with Methanol.
Also know as Wood Alcohol, Methanol can be made from wood, but, most is derived from DDJ.

not me

I like the Irving station on the western edge of Wilton. Big, easy access, clean restrooms, and decent prices.

Oh man, I didn't know they gave away free stuff.  I love reeses cups.  I always use the stupid debit card at the pump.
