This is just getting out of hand, banning incandescent bulbs, I wonder if they will have the lightbulb police. Imagine the black market for 100W bulbs, perhaps they would carry a longer jail term than 60W or 80W bulbs. Typical big government Ontario.

They already did this in Australia, and they're considering it in the Socialist Workers Paradise of California.

I used to smuggle Gold into the US from Canada.  Perhaps I can make some Gold smuggling light bulbs into Canada.

Things to get in Canada: cheaper meds, full flush toilets, lumber.
Things to get in US: light bulbs, ripped mp3s (http://www.boingboing.net/2005/07/29/canada_bans_copying_.html), lesbian novels (http://www.outinamerica.com/home/news.asp?articleid=3205)

Hmmm...

Smuggling made John Hancock a rich man...

I did a bathroom remodel a couple of years ago and installed an old style toilet with a big tank.  He has a place in VT near the  border and bought it in Canada.

Don't you have to smuggle high-flow toilets across the border? I thought Customs would impound them.

Well until lately some of the border crossings were not even manned on weekends.

You are "allowed" through the border if the toilets are for your own use.
