Extra hot, 1 gallon to start with.
I'll need to gauge my consumption for a few weeks and get back to you. What I really want is a monthly plan  8)

I'll be the MVP meeting this weekend.
How much for the gallon?

Lloyd Danforth

.......................hmn?..............................Million Dollars!

What the hell ya gonna do with a gallon of salsa with no preservatives?  Freeze it?   Science Project?

If it keeps for about a month in the fridge, that'll be about right.
I use salsa the way some people use ketchup.

Kat Kanning

It's loaded with garlic, onions, hot peppers...no germ in its right mind would take up residence.  I usually make a gallon for us and it keeps for a month.

I'm adding up how much it actually costs me to make it.  I'll let you guys know soon.

I'd be interested in a half-gallon of medium-hot salsa

Russell Kanning

You can go through a gallon really easy.

Lloyd Danforth

Come to think of it, due to the low carb diet I am using more salsa, along with cheddar  to make eggs, chicken, and even little sandwich steaks more interesting.  I use the store brand for that as it is saucy*.  I only use my own fresh salsa in a pinch for this, although I will use it on an omlet.

OK, this is approximately what it costs to make it.

Pint $3.50
Quart $7.00
Gallon $28.00

I'd use the voluntary pricing for my time in making it, so that'd be whatever you wanted to pay me in additon to the materials.

That's pretty expensive compared to salsa in the store.  I can't get wholesale prices.  Let me know if you still want to order some.

Kat Kanning

Oh and are you all picking it up at the MVP meeting?  How'm I getting it to you, Lloyd?

Kat Kanning

So actually the containers I have are
3 cups $5.00
5 1/4 cups $8.50

Maybe you'll be able to offer an organic option this summer??

Russell Kanning

It is mostly "organic" already.
We will just know how it was grown this summer. :)
