Cool. Thanks. I had a couple of political comments initially, but took it down to this:

I am considering moving my family and business to the northeast next year, and was in New Hampshire on an early scouting trip this last week. I'd like to say thank you to the people of Concord, and everywhere I went, for making me feel so welcome. Any request for directions was met with a smile, patience, and additional suggestions for everything from neighborhoods to restaurants.

The day after I arrived in Concord, my hotel filled up with Free State Project members who were gathering for a Liberty Forum. The timing turned out to be perfect. I had the opportunity to meet state representatives, real estate agents, and to talk in depth with both natives and recent movers about schools, jobs and many different towns in the state. They are incredible salespeople for the state of New Hampshire.

I am looking forward to bringing my family up from Atlanta this summer for vacation... and a bit of house hunting.

In addition to the above suggestions:

You may consider using the date or days rather than "this last week" and clarifying "they" in "They are incredible salespeople for the state of New Hampshire".

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to NH and +1 to your karma for taking the time to write a LTE

i thought about saying "The FreeStaters" or "Those Porcupines". Guess I should go with FreeStaters?

Yes, I think "the freestaters" or "the Liberty Forum atttendees", or "the people I met at the Liberty Forum" --something like that.

Glad to help

Anybody want to read the initial draft of my note, and tell me what an awful writer I am?

I'll read it  -- but I consider rocketman the true board expert on writing. Post it here and maybe he'll take a look too.

HEY!! I can write too!

Edited & submitted. Let's see what (if any) gets printed. Since I'm not signed up for the FSP, I can't even be outed as a member.... yet.

I know, still not perfect. But it is my first LTE, ever.

Good letter, mappchik!  I have nothing to add to previous comments.  And nice to meet you, by the way.

Rosie, appreciate the respect, but haven't you ever heard the saying "Those who can't do, teach?"    ;D

Plus I'm "retired."    ;)

I have to put in a plug for the Union Leader here. Not only did they give pretty darn good coverage to the forum, they are just plain nice people.

Ben Kepple, who was covering Ron Paul's speech on Sunday, had asked for my name, and where I was from, just in case he used a photo with me in it. I emailed today asking if there were anyway to get a copy, and he emailed it to me. I'm so VERY happy! It's me, talking with Ron Paul, and it's a good picture. It is going right next to the photo of me with Harry Browne from the 2000 election night party in Atlanta!
