One has 2 headlights as a safety redundancy.
really?

When one of my headlights goes out, that is the only time I use high beams, cus one low beam isn't enough on dark country roads.

Lt. Meola returned my call and we had a short conversation.  We had to agree to disagree on most points, but we were pleasant towards each other.

While I'm sure not the best spokesperson for the anarchist position (as explained to Mr. Meola, Russell has harmed no one and Russell is being harmed) we agreed that our conversation was worth having.

I would think that others who support Russell could do as well calling.

Kat Kanning

Yeah, on country roads one light would be a problem, or in the snow we were driving in a couple days ago.  Keene's pretty lit up at night though.

Yea .... they have plans and have passed laws to further restrict us. Most people I know have said that they will not accept a national id like RealID. So they will be experiencing police treatment like I am presently unless something changes. Hopefully we can change the hearts and minds of the police and others in government before RealID hits.

Thanks for calling them. We are trying to change their minds and I think talking to them in most situations is helpful. I try to keep things very simple. I just kept asking to be let go without having to agree to anything or pay them money. I don't think the cops understand anarchy, so I don't really talk about it. ;)
Feel free to tell them how you are viewing the situation and what you think is right. :)

Bless you.
Maybe we can turn the tide NOW rather than later.  It won't happen if we don't try.  Maybe stateism has reached its' high water mark in Keene?  8)

Sometimes when I am in big cites like Nashua( ::)) at night, I forget to turn on my headlights, and it take me a min to realize it cus it is so bright.... :-[

Yeah, pulling out of a brightly lit parking lot, I do that too.

I did that once in Ridgewood, NJ shortly after I started driving... almost t-boned a van when I got onto the main drag because he didn't see me (he made a left turn across my direction of travel)... now I have a habit of turning my lights on frequently; sometimes I'll even have them on during the day.

I think this tends to mean that my headlights go out more often, but that's okay--I'd rather pay more for headlights than get into an accident because I forgot to turn them on.

Hell, I visited my brother up in Rochester some time ago while I was living in NJ and had to drive home five hours with one headlight out.  I wasn't stopped and wasn't yet instilled in the virtues of "what license?" though, so that's hardly notable. :)

My NJ registration is expired, and my NJ license isn't "legally" valid... I figure I'll just let it quietly die out.

Good quotes that apply to this situation would be appreciated. It will help readers understand what we are doing and give us good examples for our own behavior.

Our conversation went beyond this current mess . . . I also told him how much I appreciate visiting Keene and that I may be a future resident, and also told him a (tiny) bit about the geography of Keene - which he did not know but seemed to enjoy.

Glacial change don't you know?  ;)

I tried the jedi mind trick and it didn't work.

I am going to need to see your license...
I just want to go home.
Yea I know, but I have to see your papers...
but I don't have any of those ... so how about you just let me leave?
Everyone has a ssnumber...
     I don't .... I don't want one of those.
But I need to see your license...
I don't ask for things like that.
How do you drive around?...
the car works just fine ... I just drive.
I request that you not leave...
but I would rather go home.
If you try to leave this night will get much worse for you...
why can't you just let me go?

It didn't work.
I also thought of driving very slowly until they flipped out and cut me off, but Kat wasn't hip to the idea. He never ordered me to not drive away. He just kept asking. Both times I have been pulled over without a license I had women and children in the car. It cramps my smokey and the bandit style. :)

One of my reoccurring 'I win Powerball' fantasies is how could we, with unlimited funds,  fuck with their heads?

50, or, more matching,  black, SUV's, with excess window tinting and no plates  suddenly descends upon Keene, just driving round and round. ( 50 matching four door Ford LTD's in flat black would be cooler, but, harder to pull off)
