We called the court and they won't tell us anything about the hearing.  Headed over to the court with signs now.

Not much to report from this.  I saw Brian hauled into court.  They wouldn't let us in.  We met his son, Brian, Jr. and gave him a paper.  He said his youngest brother is being imprisoned with a family up in Tilton, NH.  Apparently his mom said she'd show up in court with David, but instead took off with him out of state.   We got lots of questions on the street about "secret trials" and what Brian was being held for.  We gave out a bunch of copies of the KFP with the story.  Upstairs, DCYF chicks were laughing their heads off that there was a demonstration.

One lady who pulled over to talk to us said she worked in the Superior Court (we were at the District Court) for quite a while and they had iffy proceedings over there, where the judge and lawyers would always retire to discuss things in private, and when they'd come back, the trials would basically be over.  She wouldn't talk on the record, though.

Pardon my French, but this shit stinks... they treat bank robbers better than parents and children.

This part happened some time in the past.

We don't know why they called this hearing today and what happened. His (court appointed) lawyer lady came out afterwards and told us he was going back to jail. She can't tell us anything either since we are not family.
...another secret trial in Keene. We live under tyranny.

We had a lot of good conversations outside the hearing yesterday. One friendly lady came out of the building and asked us if we were "Porcupines". We said "yes". She took a paper and went on her merry way. :)
Many people were disturbed that there are secrets the local government is keeping.

You're the Press. She wasn't doing her client any favors by not talking to you.  Unless she is trying to work a deal and wants a low profile kept.

Tom Sawyer

That and maybe she has more loyalty to the "process" than her client.

Kat Kanning

I had the impression the court had the lady gagged.  No one's supposed to talk about this trial.

Quantrill

What's the judges' name/number/address?

On page 1 of this thread there are 3 justices (ha) listed.  Is this some type of guantanamo double-secret probation trial with 3 judges?

Russell Kanning

the guy in charge is the district court guy .... but I don't really know, since we are not allowed to know anything.
