I'm sitting here crying thinking about all of the people that get hurt by others cruelty, everyday, every second, why are some people so mean and sick?  This young girl will never be the same after what some sicko did to her and her dog, there's a picture of her sitting on the floor crying and it breaks my heart.  I don't understand this world and how bad everything is getting, maybe I could use a break from reading the news but inside I know this kind of stuff is still going on, you know?  Gee, I've read about at least 3 babies being abused, little kids missing and that's just since Monday.  Sometimes I feel like if a big asteroid wipes the earth out there will be no more tears, no more pain for all of the innocent people here. :'( :'(

Sorry if this is depressing, I'm finding it hard to be positive today so after this post I'm going to take a break until I get the shit in my head straightened out.

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (AP) -- A 17-year-old girl who spent weeks looking for her missing dog unwrapped a box left on her doorstep and found the pet's severed head inside, authorities said.

Homicide investigators were looking into the case because of the "implied" terroristic threat, St. Paul Police Sgt. Jim Gray said. The Humane Society of the United States said Wednesday it was offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

"This was extraordinarily heinous," said Dale Bartlett, the Humane Society's deputy manager for animal cruelty issues. "I deal with hundreds and hundreds of cruelty cases each year. When I read about this case, it took my breath away. It's horrible."

After Crystal Brown's 4-year-old Australian shepherd mix,Chevy, wandered away last month, she put up "missing" posters in her neighborhood and went door to door looking for him. She called the St. Paul animal shelter and rode the bus there several times.

"I felt empty," Crystal told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis. "I couldn't talk to anyone. He was my dog. It was just me and him. ... I told him everything and he never shared any of my secrets."

Two weeks ago, a gift-wrapped box was left at the house Crystal shares with her grandmother. The box had batteries on top, and a note that said "Congratulations Crystal. This side up. Batteries included."

Crystal opened the box and found her dog's head inside. The box also contained Valentine's Day candy.

Crystal screamed when she saw her dog's face.

"She was just hysterical," said Crystal's grandmother, Shirley Brown. "She was screaming. She said, 'Grandma, it's my dog's head!'

"I said, 'no it can't be!"'

Authorities say the case is an isolated incident and the suspect likely knew the family. A motive is unclear.

"This was so cruel," Crystal said. "This is one sick, twisted person."

She now has a new puppy, another Australian shepherd. She's named it Diesel. "Hopefully, he'll be my best friend," Crystal said.

Thank you Error, I read it and bookmarked it also. I need to go to that site more often instead of the other ones. I know there are a lot of good people in the world but when you hear about so many evil things day after day it makes me wonder if we're outnumbered. I also have this dreaded curse of being able to feel what these people are feeling as evil things are being done and it takes me days to shake off my feelings and theirs. I wish all of the bad stuff would just end but it won't, I have a feeling it's going to get so much worse.
Thanks again, I appreciate the link and will use it. :)

OH man that's really horrible :( This would be a good case for vigilante justice: when they find the bastard who does this, the girl gets to have the first go at him while the cops head out for a quick donut. He'd be handcuffed, of course.

rainey,

I could have done without seeing this! Abuse of animals disturbs me even more than abuse of peopole. :-[

I started reading and made a comment of disgust to Mary. She asked, "What?" and paused the TV. By then I had reconsidered, and said, "Never mind, never mind. If I told you, you'd just be upset and ask why I told you."

I love animals. But I still remain more offended by what people do to innocent humans.

Sorry for posting it if it upset anyone, I probably should have left it in my head and not put it in others.  I will try to stick to other articles from now on.

No Biggie.  Title fits.  All you can do is raise your kid not to be that guy.

I read that article.  I think they will figure out who did it.  I dont think the
sender just did it out of the blue, I think some information was withheld
by the girl which could lead to the sender.

It's probably some psychopath's idea of "see what will happen if you don't love me!??!!??!?!??!??"

It probably is somebody she knows, but you don't want to accuse people of something like this too early.

Thanks Lloyd! :)  If I ever found out my kid did something like that I honestly don't know what I'd do. :-\

It is horrible and I feel bad for even posting it, it was one of those things where my finger was working faster than my brain.  I think vigilante justice would make a lot of these assholes think twice with lots of stuff they do.
I remember hearing of a case in NJ where a child was repeatedly molested by this guy so the family took him ,(the molester, of course), to the Pine Barrens and cut his dick off and the family went to jail. :(

Isn't the artificial distinction between those who are allowed to administer "justice" and those who are not rather silly?

One of the greater causes of injustice in the world today...

aries

the ad on this sure is wierd.

"Single? Love pets? Date my pet!"

SAK

That's sick and inhuman(e).  Whoever did such a thing should be put out of their misery.
