I still get chills watching that.  I wonder what was said between the
guy and the crewmen inside?

Those bastards probably tortured and killed him after that,
they dont have firearms to protect themselves from murderers.

Whoa, that was the longest 1 minute video I've ever seen!  I thought they were just going to run him over, he has guts of steel!

Many died and dissapeared automagicly at that protest. There has been no sighting nor anything heard of that man since after the photo was taken not even his name is known. So yes, he most likely suffered the tyrranny of the state like many others did that day.

Maybe he was asking for directions to the nearest non-militarized whackjob state?

Well, they told him that there weren't any, so that's why he ended up walking away.

They say he wasn't executed. But China has over 1 billion people and if they wanted, they could easily pull some dude forward and have him claim to be the tank guy to get everyone concerned about his where abouts to shut up. I doubt we'll ever know 99% where he is or what happened to him.

Otosan

I thought I read some where that Tank Driver blew his horn and said "Watch where you are walking!"

and Tank Man said (in a very heavy Brooklyn accent as he jumped on the tank)  "I'm walking here!!!"  exchange some cuss words and went their separate ways......       ;)

Sorry Tank Man, attempt at some humor, think you are one brave Sweet Ole Bob!
