We're going to head over there before 9 to hold signs a while.  The court thing is supposed to start at 9.

I'm fasting until they let him go, BTW.  I suppose if they let him go this morning, it'll be a rediculously short fast.

The court decided to take Russell's "whatever" plea as a plea of "not guilty." He is being held on $1,000 cash bail until his court date, May 14th at 10am in District Court.

Kat Kanning

We're heading over to the jail to hold signs for a while.  160 River Road, Westmoreland.  Probably be out there until noon.

I suppose they managed to "process" Russell, even without his cooperation. >:(

No, some officious individual wearing a funny robe did. The system is evil, but does that mean the people in it automatically get a pass when they do wrong?

Kat Kanning

I wouldn't say it went well, no.

Dave Ridley

called cheshire.   left msg for superindendent through secretary (or whoever answered).

she says that he responded "so noted."

I Will probably report this to the ed brown quest for fair trial site next.

Dave Ridley

posted audio report to quest for fair trial blog but it has not appeared, nor has the unrelated report from yesteraday.  they will just need to move the file probably , this  has happened before.  then it will appear.

Good turnout and folks were in good spirits... considering.

William said he wished they would arrest someone he didn't like instead of Russell.

Here is a group shot minus TackletheWorld...

 8) to Ian for getting into the court with his video camera... The judge seemed to not want to have him there.

Kat Kanning

Nice picture, Tom, thanks.

I fixed the wiki.  How about the "Free to Travel" gallery?  Or you can just start a new one, doesn't matter.

I want one of those T-shirts.

Tom Sawyer

Speaking of T-shirts... Kat please apply what you owe me to cover the shirts.

Also I'd offer to come over and help you with your snow shoveling clients tomorrow, however I'll be involved moving snow here.

I wonder if any strong backs could offer to help the Kannings with their jobs tomorrow.  :)

A month in jail (I'm just assuming you folks won't play the bail game, correct me if my assumption is wrong), BEFORE trial, for driving without a license???

And just who did he hurt, again?  Whose rights did he violate?

FTL_Ian

I don't think Russell will be signing anything.
