Total guess would be end of May.

Thanks Dreepa! :)  I don't know why they don't have the information on their website.  When do the black flies start coming out?  Does anyone have a solution to them?  I thought I read of a spray that really works in a thread from last year.

Black flies should be joining us anytime now with this nice warm weather! I use something natural made by a local family that they call "bug dope". It's a salve and works wonderfully! I have never before used any bug thing that REALLY works. The bugs come close but don't land - without it, they fly into my eyes and bite, etc.

Thanks Dawn!  Where do you buy it from? :)  Does it hurt when they bite you?

I got the bug dope from a farm near me - want me to see if they have anymore for you?

Yes, those little bugs do hurt when they bite and itch after. One trick is to get out early in the day (like to do yard work, for example) - they're out more when it's warm and sunny. Hubbie says it takes 3 90 degree days to kill them!

Sure that would be great, thanks!  Does it come in a big jar?  Just let me know, (you can PM me with your address and I'll give you mine too),  how much it is and shipping and I can send you a check, okay?  Thanks again, I'm happy to hear something helps and scared to hear their bite hurts. :)

Dreepa

I have yet to have a problem with the black flies... mosquitos were a problem for the first part of the summer though.
