Seabrook is awfully close to Newburyport... taxes are a bit lower because of the power plant, but not what they were supposed to be.

yea ... it would make sense to live up the coast some.

 I have family in Auburn and friends in Hooksett. Right off the top of my head -- I think it would be easier to get to MA from Auburn b/c of the easy route 101 access. Hooksett can be tough b/c route 28 can be really busy, but it does depend on where in Hooksett you will be. Exit 10 or 11 on 93 could be a pretty good access point for a zip south.

What's so scary about a nuclear plant? Way safer than living downwind from a coal plant, you know.

I live in the part of manch that borders Auburn and Hooksett.  I have family in Auburn and friends in Hooksett. Right off the top of my head -- I think it would be easier to get to MA from Auburn b/c of the easy route 101 access. Hooksett can be tough b/c route 28 can be really busy, but it does depend on where in Hooksett you will be. Exit 10 or 11 on 93 could be a pretty good access point for a zip south.

Thanks, that's what Rick said about Auburn too when we were checking it out.   Do you like the area?  Is it really congested or can you find some peaceful suburb?  Hopefully we will be able to find a more affordable house through a real estate agent instead of looking online.

Yes.

They're generally quite safe. But if you live within 25 miles of one, you should have an evacuation plan, just in case. There should be a guide in the front of the phone book to help you with evacuation planning.
