Seabrook is awfully close to Newburyport... taxes are a bit lower because of the power plant, but not what they were supposed to be.
yea ... it would make sense to live up the coast some.

I have family in Auburn and friends in Hooksett. Right off the top of my head -- I think it would be easier to get to MA from Auburn b/c of the easy route 101 access. Hooksett can be tough b/c route 28 can be really busy, but it does depend on where in Hooksett you will be. Exit 10 or 11 on 93 could be a pretty good access point for a zip south.

Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant

Well, I don't love that kind of adventure, yikes!  I'm way too paranoid to live near one of those.  :o

What's so scary about a nuclear plant? Way safer than living downwind from a coal plant, you know.

Thanks, that's what Rick said about Auburn too when we were checking it out. :)  Do you like the area?  Is it really congested or can you find some peaceful suburb?  Hopefully we will be able to find a more affordable house through a real estate agent instead of looking online. :-\

Before I answer that I have a question.   Is a nuclear power plant the same as a nuclear reactor?

A libertarian friend of ours is moving out of Hookset, and his house is for sale.  The MLS is 2626153.

Thanks!  I looked it up and it is a great looking house but 309k is too much for us. :(

If they will be around in the next week or so... make sure that they vote for Marple.   :D

Yes. :)

They're generally quite safe. But if you live within 25 miles of one, you should have an evacuation plan, just in case. There should be a guide in the front of the phone book to help you with evacuation planning.

Thanks Error! :)  Forget that I don't want to live next to one.
