We knew we were going to buy a house when we decided to move last April.  One of the decisions as to where to live was a town with low tax rates.  A link to the tax rates can be found at http://www.nh.gov/revenue/property_tax/2003/2003_tax_rates.htm

Just remember that you can't always use the rate as a comparison, because the rate is applied to the value. Some towns seem to have relatively low rates, yet house values are high, so the taxes are high. Others with high rates have low values, and taxes paid can actually be less.

True enough.  We looked at it from the perspective of homebuyers who were looking at homes in a given price range.
