I'm looking for a used refrigerator, chest freezer or "dorm room" mini-fridge that I will turn into a kegerator.   ;D
If the fridge no longer works I'll still take it, as I know a thing or two about refrigeration.

If anyone knows where I can find the aforementioned appliances, I'd greatly appreciate it!
:D

Have you tried the "free" section of Craigslist?  There are often things like that in there.  Or in the "barter" section.

Jane recently offered an upright freezer for sale here on the Trading Post.

Yep but that is JUST a freezer. I might sell my fridge too, but not yet.

Freezers make good keggerators. They don't have to freeze; you can adjust the temp up to the perfect 34F.  :occasion14:

Quantrill

I can use freezers, though fridges are preferred.  There are controls you can use to keep the freezers at the right temp, though of course it can shorten the life of the compressor.

Thanks for the suggestion of craigslist.  I'll check it out...

AltExpo needs a refrigerator, too. Anyone have one laying around they'd give us or lend for a few days?

Also there is a yahoo group called 'freecycle'  they pop up there every once in a while.

Well this one is still available, and the price might be lowered too. I am not quite sure how you can lower the temp to be a fridge but if you say so Kevin, I BELIEVE IT!  :)

Quantrill

Depending on the t-stat, you can simply put it at it's lowest setting and it may be above freezing.  If not, I have t-stats in my service truck that'll do the job.

Q send me an email.

I think I found one for you.
