Yeah, I'm sure that's what happened...

They couldn't have made the charges stick if he didn't have a "legitimate" reason to pull you over, so they come up with "legitimate" reasons whenever they need them.

That's what's so assinine about their whole system.  They talk big about how there are all these checks to protect against abuse, but when it all comes down to it, there are just as many loopholes, and they are typically based on trusting the abusers to be honest.  It's all a farce, but most people never pay enough attention to realize that the fox is guarding the henhouse...

Glad to hear you're out.  Is that some sort of record for speedy release? :o

Glad they let the "NH Tarbaby" go.  :)
They didn't know what they were going to do with me if the judge had given me jail time or if they would have wanted money today (which I would not have given him).

By the way

I'm Free!

although this stuff is getting really annoying
Maybe you need one of those International Drivers licenses for when you travel outside the Shire.

Lloyd Danforth

Glad your out. At first I thought you spent the day driving around with the deputy, because they didn't have a cell.  Really Mayberry-ish.

"Sorry Russell, Otis is stink'in up the cell, you all  have to spend the day with me in the cruiser"

Why do you have to jump thru hoops to get the car back?  I would think if the reg was OK, they would release it to a licensed driver.

they need two licensed drivers .... and no they will not pay us back for stealing our car for no reason ... and we have to pay .... they told us to sue them. The sheriff of gove county is an evil guy. They are just highway robbers .... I mean interstate robbers.

Kat Kanning

I taked to that guy on the phone.  I called as press rather than your wife.  He was polite enough and answered my questions, but he sure wanted to know why the press was calling.

I told them my job was managing a newspaper, so they shouldn't be surprised.

You know, that's a half-truth lie, Russell...
your real job is managing a nonviolent revolution  8)

Ohhhhh by the way   .... We live in a Police State.

They ran my plates at a rest area off of I-70. It came up as a different vehicle, so he pulled me over and arrested me for no license. Today they admitted that the sheriff just typed the number in wrong. I got out free, but the car will cost some money to pry from the evil thugs tomorrow.
I guess these guys have nothing better to do than eat donuts and run plates.
The deputy stopped for donuts only once while we were driving around today. (9am to 4pm)

And as soon as the governor signs SB41 they will be able to do the same thing in NH.

Lloyd Danforth

Russell.  How come you didn't use the "que Pasa?" Strategy?  Does it not work in Kansas? ;D
