The "It's time to shoot the bastards" folks are definitely outside the political system. Are you inviting them?
there are none of those guys .... they are all still cleaning guns ... and mostly working inside the system so they don't get punished.

I have the stage that Joel built for the Anti-REAL ID bill rally last year in my back yard. It's in 2 - 4 X 8 pieces, each with 2' tall legs. Looking for someone with a pickup or van to transport it from Amherst to GunStock. We would use it for speakers, musicians, etc.

Anyone got wheels for this and available for a Sunday trip up to Gunstock? It could be done at a later date, as well, but I'm planning to go up Sunday to recon the BoardWalk field with Rich G. to divvy up the space.

Looks like we have the makings of an open mic stage. People are rounding up mics, stands, guitars and amps - bring your own equipment if you have any.

Got some freedom songs ready?

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look? ooh!
Some say its just a part of it:
Weve got to fulfil de book.

Wont you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

That's a great song--I enjoyed hearing Matt perform it last year and hope we can get an encore performance!  :)

One of the things that I would like to do this year at the AltExpo is to showcase a variety of New Hampshire made beverages. We did this during the Liberty Forum and it was a big hit. Many people enjoyed tasting quality products such as soda pop, beers, wines and spirits--all made right here in the Free State!

It was an impromptu effort; I purchased all the products, hundreds of dollars worth, and accepted donations to help defray my costs. In the end I broke about even and took the leftovers home with me  :)

Since many people come to PorcFest from out of state, it's a good opportunity for them to taste good stuff that folks in this state are making. In order to make it a bigger production I'm asking for investors to go in on this with me, with the understanding that your investment would be repaid as donations come in. I would also welcome any donations outright, if anyone wanted to make a contribution.

PS: We have a block of campsites down in the Boardwalk area, so if you're looking for space, we have some - we're trying to help the FSP recover the money they spent locking down these sites. They're right on the periphery of the activities field, which makes it easy to find your way home after the bonfires!

I have reserved one of these spaces for Thursday-Saturday (and maybe Sunday) and I'm looking to share my site if anyone is interested.

I sure have missed all of my friends in The Shire! This will be fun! ;D

OK, Thanks - I got a pickup truck and a trailer and will hopefully get the stage up there tomorrow.

Now the seats are all empty
Let the roadies take the stage
Pack it up and tear it down
They're the first to come and last to leave
Working for that minimum wage (I wish I were getting that, at least!)

This is sung as a Dirge.  I believe it will pass muster on the forum, here,  because it points out the futility of violence against the state.  I went on a lot of road trips with a family friend in my teens.  We would sing 'The Bomb Song' and songs made popular by groups like The Kingston Trio and Brothers Four.  The dogs in the back seat would chime along.

In an anarchist's garret, so lowly and so mean
Oh, smell the pungent odor of nitro-glycerine.
They're busy making fuses, and filling cans with nails
And the little Slavic children set up this mournful wail.
Oh, its Sister Jenny's turn to throw the bomb;
The last one it was thrown by Brother Thom.
Poor Mamma's aim is bad and the Copskys all know Dad,
So it's Sister Jenny's turn to throw the bomb.

Sister Jenny took the bomb and started off.
"Oh, mind you now," said Mamma, "to blow up Templehoff."
And so the party waited, while the dawn turned into day,
And the little Slavic children set up this mournful lay
Oh it's Brother Ivanovitch's turn to throw the bomb.
Sister Jenny's gone the way of Brother Thom;
Poor Mamma's aim is bad and the Copsky's all know Dad,
So it's Brother Ivanovitch's turn to throw the bomb.

Wow, that's heavy. Are you going to sing that for us, Lloyd?  :)

Conflating "anarchy" with "throwing bombs" isn't new. It's mostly been perpetuated by people who call themselves anarchists.

I might like to take you up on that. The midget and I are hoping to make it over, last minute stuff has our plans up in the air.

It will be great to see ya again. :)

Tolstoy used it for both meanings in some of his books. I think you can be a bombthrowing anarchist .... it just hurts more.

FYI, the area my site is in will be noisy with all the nearby revelers, but it would be great to share a campsite with you fellas.
