Hello everyone,  my name is David, and I am new the board, but not the cause.

For years I have prayed to find others like myself who just arent going to take it anymore!

Since I first heard of Ed & Elaine Browns cause, (very recently) I have been glued to seeking out the truth through the eyes and ears of others on the internet.

Through my research efforts, to say the least, I am in awe!

Anyway, I disscussed moving with my family and they are all for it.

I just need to find out which cities have a market for IT professional, specifically Network, PC, and Avaya phone specialist.

I also do graphics, and web design.

I am in business for myself, but have also worked for large corporations, in the Network and PC arena, and my wife has generally worked for large corporations, in the Telecomm industry.

Together we are the perfect IT Team!  And we want to bring low cost service and solutions with us.

I specialize in addressing individual and small business needs, where we keep in the forefront our customers budget and needs.  From there we put together solutions that fit both.  None of our services or scopes are set in stone and completely revolve around our customers needs.

If this sounds like a company you need in your area let us know.  If we recieve a lot of positive feedback it will help us make our move much faster.

Welcome David,

(did you also sign up for the Freestateproject?  every signer helps us get closer to the goal).

I will ask around about your IT speciality.

A very warm welcome David.  ;D

I'd be curious to know as well, I'm considering moving to NH after graduation...I'll have a BS in computer science and have more than enough .net development and web skills to go with it.

Thank you all for your big welcome and support.

Now that I think about it, if we can get enough of us in this sector, we can start our own low cost big business solution in the NH area, which in turn would further support our cause, by putting big business
in this state out of business.

I would love to have a .net, programmer!  Do you know any Websphere and J2EE programming/ers?

Basically just a company of good ol Americans, helping out good ol Americans! where we are not trying to get rich by manipulating the poor.

Currently I am working for a mid-size business in NY as the Senior Systems Administrator. I focus on Windows servers, Switches, MPLS, VPN, Citrix and of course lots of other software and hardware.

Windows server? That's some kind of oxymoron, like military intelligence, right?

Someone with a image of the Linux mascot (Tux) in their signature make fun of Windows? I've never seen such a thing...

I'm planning to move very soon; probably within a month or two. It makes it easier if I just rent a room for now- don't have to buy a lot of furniture and what not. Leaning toward Keene because I like the people and the style of activism but Nashua is appealing for other reasons, particularly if I just want a job in software development. I'm still trying to decide whether to continue working in software or try something else like starting a business. Ideally it would be nice if I could mix the two. I'll try to stay updated on this thread.

No I have not, nor have I heard about it.  Please advise.

Thanks,

Well from my experience in this arena as a small business, I was able to make 2 to 3k a week at times, without ever having to promote.

It was all through word of mouth, and in 3 years I was a pretty stable rapidly growing business.  However, it was being run out of my home.

With that said, eventually it came down to my family or my business.  Which do you think I chose?

To clarify it wasn't a choice offered to me.  It was a choice made out of recognition in that it was slowly tearing us apart.

Picture 1 person, building pc's, troubleshooting the same/including laptops, scheduling and appearing for installations, balancing the books, including but not limited to hosting, web design etc... To keep it simple, I did it all!

I manufactured our own PC's and laptops, sold software and hardware (wholesale prices, with 1 year warranties) sold maintenance agreements, did third party service calls and on and on and on.

If I had two other likeminded people and one receptionist, I would still be in business.  Basically I gave all parties alike the same gratuities that big business promotes however without all the hidden fees and tricky language.  A hand shake was good enough for me.

We kept it fair and affordable.

I am now looking at another venture, which I hope to startup there.  Same business different tag line, different mission.

You could move between the two... Peterborough or something.... best of both worlds.... and you would make Denis happy by moving to a socialist area. (Although P'boro is a nice town)

David,

My name is Greg and I live in Manchester, NH and work in Nashua, NH.  I work for a telecommunications distributor.  There are a lot of IT oriented jobs available in the Nashua and Merrimack areas and, to a lesser degree, Manchester.  If you need any help/advice, let me know.  I've worked in sales with my company for about 2 years and found it very lucrative.  Many people from my company moved here from PC Connection (Amherst, NH).  The IT industry is thriving in Southern NH.  I'm not sure if you're looking for employment or just weighing the market.  I am always open for new challenges/opportunities too.

Hi Greg, thanks your for your input.  In response, a little of both.  I presume we would be able to sell our house earlier next year, as rates fall lower and lower.

But yeah Im an individual that likes to keep and weigh all options out.

Business's are easy to start, however hard to get the people and mind collectively to follow suit if it doesnt have a mainstream logo on it.
