"The transportation and distribution, developing the plastic for the water bottles, the cost of the water, has a huge environmental and economic impact....the difference between bottled water and Diet Coke is that you can't get Diet Coke from the tap. It's not like any other bottled liquids. These people are making huge amounts of money selling God's natural resources. Sorry, we're not going to be part of it. Our water in San Francisco comes from the Hetch Hetchy [reservoir] and is some of the most pristine water on the planet. Our water is arguably cleaner than a vast majority of the bottled water sold as "pure."

Oh for fucks sake...

"The San Francisco Horror"

Geeeet ooooouuuuut!!!   GEEEET OUUUUUUUT!!!

The city is lost to the "sounds good, do it" philosophy of government.

Dreepa

To slightly clarify... it is only for city depts.

Which is fine by me.. maybe they will spend less money.. let them drink tap water.

Thanks, Cap'n!
I will probably travel back to SF in the next month or so on business.
Whenever I do, I like to stop in on the SF LP meeting... and point out to them how fast the Californian ship of state is sinking, that there is no honor in going down with it, and that if they come to New Hampshire, they can actually fight for freedom and win from time to time!

Puke

If it's for gov't offices only then I like it.
Taxes should not go for 'crats fancy Evian water.

Dreepa

and you know what Evian is backwards right?

French tap water.

Funny, that's how I met you out here in San Francisco a few years ago at the local porc group. Now in the past two weeks my wife and I quit our jobs, I'm closing on a house in Farmington just north of Rochester soon (never bought a house before but am doing so without ever having seen the house in person, nor Farmington), and we're leaving next week on July 5. Forget fighting city hall, I want free-staters to BE city hall. My daydream is to see NH secede before the socialist hordes from adjacent states take it over first. Ever since I visited last year I've felt that NH is now my home, and can't wait to get there and involved in the community. If anyone is near Farmington I'd love to hear from you.
