I wish someone would mint a one ounce silver Ron Paul round and sell it for a little over spot. Or better yet, a gold one.
They had them at the Liberty Dollar when I placed my order for copper ones.

Remember they have to sell it above spot because of minting and shipping.

I'd certainly like a number of these, wish we could get them much sooner.  I'd also like a silver Ron Paul if someone has some spares of that.

Puke

I picked up my regular Copper Liberty Dollars today. They are pretty cool. They have a very different finish from the silver Libertys.

i dont know if the coppers are exchangable officially, but I assume an unofficial trade is already springing up.

i think you can't go wrong with a cheap coin that has ron paul's pic on it.

The "melt value" of 1 oz of copper is about 33 cents. As a cheaper metal, the fixed cost/value of minting is a much larger share of the total value.

Does anyone know if copper liberties are treated so they resist tarnishing? That would be a valuable feature.

The ones I have already seem a bit dull. They certainly don't have the shine of a brand-new penny.

Brand new pennies don't have much copper in them.

I know. Does the zinc they're debasing the pennies with improve the lustre of the copper, though?
