This isn't as good a price as silver rounds (like PanAms), but Eagles have some collectible value, and are pretty. The 25 cent discount is less that 2% at today's price, and the 50 cent discount for 500 is double that.

Any interest in going in together on 500 eagles, for about $7400 (today's price: $14.74 each)? I could do about 50.

Eh, I'm at least a month away from making any more purchases of that size.

Is anyone here interested in platinum? BTW, dreepa, I gave the pro liberty baby bumper-sticker to my cousin ;)

mappchik

I know we'd take some of the silver. Will have to discuss how many though.

Initial guesstimate would be 25, but it could be higher.

porcupine kate

I'd love to get 20 of them if possible.

PowerPenguin

I'm selling an ounce of Au and an ounce of Palladium tomorrow in order to finance my laptop buying habit (if you can call my second purchase ever a habit). Who says you can't buy things with metals? 8-)

We're up to 105 ounces. If we can't get to 500 in a few weeks, would those of you who chimed in want to purchase at the higher price for 60-499? Since I started the thread two trading days ago, silver is up (because the dollar is down) 31 cents, more than the discount!

I don't want to make you cry after getting free. :-\

The 500+ discount makes them cheaper than maple leafs, and less than a dollar over generic rounds. I guess I prefer US silver to US ferns.

If I have a job lined up by the end of the week I can buy more of them.  I'm still interested at the higher rate.

Is there a reason to not buy the generic rounds at 'less' than a dollar cheaper?  Why not pool our funds to get Generic at the cheaper price?

Here are Eagles:

Here are Pan Ams:

Here are NWT Mints:

I have all three, but do think the Eagles look the best, and have more brand identity

I also like A-Marks, which were minted in the 80s
