I am starting an agorist flea market in Central Square that the whole community is invited to attend and join.  The first day I will be out there is August 7, 2010, and, if successful, every Saturday after that (weather permitting).

My intention is to set up a table at 8 or 9 in the morning and a sign reading something like:

"Welcome to the Keene Community Flea Market.  Feel free to set up a table to sell your movies, music, books, clothes, toys, electronics, kitchenware, odd ends, knick knacks, fiddle faddles, and trinkets.  Or, you are invited to simply browse the vendors, and have fun."

I'm hoping this will grow into a yearly institution from spring til fall, and that the locals will get involved.  I feel this creates a great family friendly atmosphere to open people's minds to the idea of a decentralized market.  Plus it will be something fun to do on a Saturday Morning.  I expect to get a lot of foot traffic from downtown, and I imagine as word spreads this event will only grow.  I'm going to distribute flyers in the mean time to promote it in the weeks leading up to the premier.

I've spoken to a few people who have expressed interest in joining me that first Saturday in August.  Hope to see you there.
