Since the press seems to have a lot of respect for you, Mike perhaps this would make a good press release from you:

"Outlaw Manicurist reveals shocking Concord jail conditions!"? Maybe they'd cover it!

The conditions are not good there, but I'm sure most jails are like that.  I'm probably not going to attack the issue.

Now attacking the issue that the majority of people are imprisoned for hurting no one and stealing nothing... THAT is something I would be willing to do.

FTL_Ian

That's what I was suggesting... the "conditions" being people are in there that shouldn't be.  By the boatload.

Mike, the Union Leader has a section devoted to African refugees in NH.  Here is just one story about some of the Sudanese, with some contacts in it you might try:

http://unionleader.com/articles_showa.html?article=44235
"The estimated 400 to 500 Sudanese who live in New Hampshire are primarily served by Lutheran Social Services and the International Institute of New Hampshire. They live mainly in Manchester and Concord.

Donald Cimato is program manager for the refugee program at Lutheran Social Services. "
[...]
Anne Sanderson, director of the International Institute of New Hampshire, said, ?Our experience is that the Sudanese are eager to work. They have progressed through our ESL (English as a second language) classes very well. They are quick learners. They have assimilated well.

There are many more articles online here, I'm sure you can find the proper contact to help this man.  Good luck!

I received an e-mail today:

Hi Mr. Fisher,

Thank you for caring.

I will consult with our immigration attorney, and then proceed accordingly. We might refer Moses Yen to PEAR project, a legal assistance to immigration detainees.

Jozefina Lantz, Program Manager
Lutheran Refugee & Immigrant Services
