Uumm... Error... the phone was submerged...and it wasn't my fault. I swear!   ;D

Just a hint for those whose phones take an accidental dunking: you can buy a compatible pay-as-you-go phone, and just swap out the SIM card.

Nate's phone drowned, so he bought a $60 TracFone and moved his SIM over. Works perfectly. New phone, same number, same account.

Verizon has a couple of phones that can survive a dunk.  Gz-one type S and V

If your phone takes a dunk there is a slim chance to salvage it.
First, DO NOT TURN IT ON to see if it works. This is the worst thing you can do.
Second, remove the battery and leave the cover off. (Disassemble the case if you can/know how) Vigorously shake out excess water.
Third, place the phone some place warm. Like on top of a hot water heater. Let it stay there for a week.

or...just... crush phone in a fit of rage and toss into nearest receptacle...

replace with iphone  ;)
