Had a Mama Bear and 2 cubs in my yard this past weekend.

We've had a bear/s coming to our yard for the past 3 days, the first visit they, (Rick saw 4 paw prints, 2 huge, 2 small), dragged 5 trash bags up the cliff, then once again with only 1 bear that time.    Last night my oldest son was coming home with his brother & sister, he saw the huge bear walking away from our yard, (but not running?), made the kids get back in the car, blew the horn a few times and then unlocked the door and they all ran inside, by that time the bear took off.

Rick climbed the cliff to gather the loose trash then stopped and though, "gee, maybe I should have bought my rifle."   Then while Rick was up on the cliff the cop pulled up to arrest my son and it looked like Rick could be a possible sniper so the cop got nervous.  What a day!

We've had a coyote lurking in the woods behind our backyard, so I'd have to watch my dog every time I let her out. I never could sneak up on the thing and shoot it, so we ended up making some poison concoction that ended up killing it. We never found the body, but I did remember seeing some turkey vultures in the area...

What is this one?   I've seen one in my yard and I thought it was a minx, (sp?).
