Hello I have posted once before about being new to the area . I still feel new i have only lived here for a month. I took a job here and after roughly 30 days I quit. I know that might sound crazy and I am sure 50% of the people will say I am at fault and maybe the other half will say they (employer) were at fault. I just felt that it was best for me. I moved here from California. I know that Ca is a different world. Maybe could even be considered a different world. I am now again looking for a job I do have a few prospects out there....so I am not too worried. I was really excited to come here because of all the political protest and the movement towards the end of probation on Marijuana. Coming here from a place where you can buy Cannabis at over 100 legal locations to a place where you have to whisper the word is completely different. Maybe I should have stayed in Cali?...New England is beautiful...Maybe I am having a midlife crisis?...I am not worried if my car gets repoed or if I get evicted from my new cute little apt. If i do not do any thing while i am here it will be a waste. Lets do something about this probation this senseless argument that Marijuana is a harmful drug. The job I just quit this morning was ran by people from a completely different generation..I am not saying I am some young punk and if you are thats cool I am not here to judge. I just want to make a difference. Lets end these ridiculous laws against Marijuana I know that if we all fight together we can make a difference. If you are still reading this send me a message let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading

Sorry to be so blunt Dennismokes, but your overtures about ending Prohibition would be better received after people get to know you a bit.

Besides didn't anybody tell you all of us liberty crazies are paranoid by nature and only reveal the secret hand shake after a probationary period?   ;)

thanks for posting.  Do you have any good ideas for ending prohibition?  If you want to make a mark or take a strike at the machine the best way is to lead something.  Join up with one of the many groups.  Give imput and ideas.  I like a lot of the people I've met here.

Facebook rules for this. . . you can also start groups and share ideas about what to do.  There's a fella I know who is facing some people who took his time and property for growing weed (allegedly).  I'm sure any good ideas you could have to keep him outta jail or show others the great strains the drug war causes to good regular folks.

Someone told me to cast a wide net when looking for work.  Craigslist, mosnter, hotjobs, classifieds, walkins, etc. is what I did and I found a great job near my home and hopefully a career until I can get photography off the ground.  I hope you network with some folks as part of your job hunt.

Maybe the folks who are successfully living low impact, non-traditional job style can offer you pointers.  In my own push to become more self- reliant and living simpler, I've done a thorough inventory of my life and found many areas where I could cut and still enjoy life.

I wish you luck buddy.  PM me anytime.
