I might be wrong but I recall FSP officials stating several times that the FSP will only be a vehicle for activists, it won't do, condone or support things that the activists actually do.

That's right. The FSP is a :bus: to get people moved here. Once you're here, then you do other things with other organizations, or make your own.

Fluff and Stuff

It sounds like a waste of time and a waste of resources to me.  We already have a myspace group and a myspace page and a facebook group.  Why not help out with these?  They are already built up and have over 5000 members.  We could expand the membership and try to turn those members to FSP members.

Thanks to all who voted; I appreciate it.  It looks like the majority of people who voted are positive, or at least curious, about the idea.  I am almost 100% sure I'll give this a shot.   :)

Keith, I think you're misinterpreting the idea here.  What I'm proposing would be quite different from the existing myspace and facebook groups for the FSP.  I'm proposing a networking tool with *restricted membership* for liberty activists *in New Hampshire*.  Obviously, that would have nothing to do with recruiting for the FSP.  I guess you could argue that my energy might be better directed towards helping the FSP to recruit.  But I have done my tour of duty for the FSP, including helping to maintain the MySpace group.  As far as the FSP is concerned, I'm a GD Purple Heart recipient.  I'll let other people take it from here. 8)

Sounds good. We can recruit more activists, by having fun with our current ones. People are getting attracted to what we are actually doing not just the idea.
