I don't know if I'm more shocked at the fascist sumptuary law that has the 13th century calling wondering if they could have their customs back, or at the ridiculous retard calling this a racial profiling law because it 'came out of black youth culture'. ::)

Despite the fact that I struggle with an overwhelming desire to punch in the neck every douche I see with their ass hanging out of their pants, its just an overwhelmingly bad idea to escalate the problem by making it illegal.

I saw a pretty bad crack display at a meeting the other night, and while it was offensive to look at, it was pretty funny sort of like candid camera and little old ladies...Heh..

Accusations like this are understandable though, considering how many times the government has tried to indirectly oppress various classes like this—instead of attacking them directly, find some aspect that all or most share, and attack that. The most notorious example is of course "literacy tests" being administered to voters by racist governments when they knew the majority of blacks were illiterate and the majority of whites weren't. Nixon apparently (I've only heard this second-hand and don't have a citation) admitted that the drug war and prison boom was an intentional attempt to go after blacks without appearing to do so.

Next we can go after all of the people who should not be wearing Lycra

Heh, this person was, in effect, not wearing anything on that section of his body..  ;)

I don't like seeing this sort of display either, but at the same time, I don't want to see these people wind up on the sex offender registry either. And you all know that's exactly where this is going, sooner or later.

Well I doubt anyone thought he was a sex offender, just someone with the unfortunately situation of having pants that would not stay up! LOL

It's all a slippery slope - it starts here and then they are automatically registered as a pedophile because they expose their indecent ass crack to little girls.

I've thought of just mentioning it to them very matter-of-factly. "You know yer losin' yer britches there?"

I figure they'll learn when they fall to their knees and knock them to the ground.

That is about how I feel.
+1 for the douche comment.

What's funny is that I was reading Neal Boortz's site the other day (I read it occasionally to see how the guy who got me into Libertarianism is faring...answer: not well) and he seemed to be rather in favor of it.
I think he's left small-l libertarianism behind and has moved into the little known branch of ibertarians.

Baggy pants, huh, I wish I could remember what it was like to have pants that are baggy! ;D

I know there's a lot of talk about "the crack epidemic", but this is going just a bit far, wouldn't you say?

The article makes it sound like it's just one councilman who's behind this.  So there's a tightass in the South who wants to pass a dumbass law.  To be brief, there's no need to get your panties in a bunch.    :D
