NH or College?

I have just started my freshman year at college, I have been wanting to move to NH for about 3 months now and would rather go sooner than later, my biggest concern is that I need to drop out of college this week if I want to move or else I can not get my money back! I have not yet decided what I want to major in or what I want to do as a career.  I have never liked school and I have no idea why i started college, the only way I can learn is by hands on schooling (spend two years at a vocational school and I excelled in the Auto Tech field) or on the job training, I have great manual dexterity but do not have the concentration skills that it takes to go to a traditional college. Should I fill out the papers and start packing my bags or should I stick around and hopefully finish college?

You might consider looking for a company that will pay for you to take part-time classes.  That is what I am doing to work on a Computer Science MS.  My company reimburses up to $5K a year for this, so I can take two classes a year on them.

This may be shocking, but there are colleges in NH:
Keene State
UNH
etc

I guess the biggest reason I am not really considering college in NH yet is I really would not have as much time when I am there, maybe after a year or so when I get settled I could start going part time, I need to be able to make a living but I also want to be as active as possible. Keep it coming and thank you all for your advice.

Also if you have any web skills like PHP or MySQL, there are always groups looking for those skills, including:
* NH Liberty Alliance (email me!)
* FSP (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fspit)
* FTL BBS (ask Beavis/error, I guess)

And of course the web-stuff can be done from wherever one is on Earth, so long as they have the intertweb-tubes there.

If you're not sure why you're in college right now, it is probably a waste of your time and money (otherwise my answer would have definitely been 'finish college!'). I highly recommend taking a year off between college and high school; I did it and things worked out great :) You could use the extra time to work odd jobs and decide what you really want to do for a career and whether or not college will help you reach that goal.
And as Denis said, if college does play a role, NH has some that you could attend...and they'll be cheaper if you have residency first.

I skipped secondary schooling started a business then when to work for large company and started there IT department, I now work in the Multimedia arena for the same company.. My choice to get out of IT.. and I make decent money , the same or more as the people that went to school..

Schooling doesn't mean you get a specific job, only a few actually require a education, most just want experience, I started getting that experience by the time my peers got out of school i had years of experience that they didn't have and was way ahead of them..

A easy way to get experiance is to  self teach and do a internship for a company, I got my by starting a business in computer support.. that led to my IT role.. that led to my current position.

Remember any one can get a student loan and go to school, experience takes time to gather.. start now and get ahead..  Do that and you wont have a loan to pay back once you get out of school either..

Also remember  some pretty boring jobs pay pretty dang good.. some factory type jobs, or construction type work make really good money, probably more than most people make right out of collage..  If people don't really like doing it, it will pay pretty decent..

While your doing this job teach your self a trade and get your experience you want in the profession you'd like.. Also don't make a profession out of something you don't like make sure you love it, if you love it you'll excel at it and enjoy it.  Thats what I've done the only issue i have is that i love what I do so much that im kind of burnt out because i do the same after work as side work..and more work that i care to do.. so some times i miss those "JOBs" that you can simply go home and not think about till the next day when you go into work.

This reminded me of a northern California town that I've been through quite a few times.  One of the off-ramps is fairly popular with the young people because they can get a picture like the following:

don't waste any more money if you don't know why you are doing it.
