What do you think of the "V Tyranny Response Team" costume?

I was inspired by Menno's "Tyranny Response Team" jacket at the "Free Lauren Canario" Protest today.

Combining the TRT jacket with one of NHFree.com's other favorite costume items might make for an interesting effect if worn by several activists.

What do you think?   :icon_pirat:

I was just telling KBCraig (my dad, for those of you who don't know) how cool the jackets are, from the video of the jail protest. I'd wear the TRT jacket even when I wasn't protesting anything, if I were in NH. Where can I get one?

I love the idea of pairing them up with the Guy Fawkes masks, though I don't think the effect would really work unless you had enough people. Two people wearing a mask is just two people wearing a mask. Most people would see it, think "crazy", and keep moving. A couple dozen people, on the other hand, would work nicely. For small groups, like the protest today, I think just the jacket is probably best.

And now you're making me think about how I'm not in NH to join in the fun! Hmph.  :(

I don't really get what the point of the V masks is. Just be people.

Menno has "the look" to wear it effectively. Short hair, he's in shape, and when piling out of a white van while wearing this pseudo-"raid jacket", he absolutely looks like a cop.

Me, not so much. I haven't had a haircut in over six months. (I finally decided, 18 years after the fact, that I wasn't in the Army any more. My hair is longer now than when I graduated high school in 1981.)

But for those who could possibly look like cops when wearing TRT gear, it's great stuff!

(Evil thought crosses my mind...  >:D )

Those of us who wouldn't normally pass as "police-like", could always don the balaclava, de rigeur for JBTs wishing to protect their identities.

The T-shirt could be for the more casual summer time raid.  ;D

Ian & Menno,
This is a GREAT idea.  Most people ignore protestors, but this unique look would get much more scrutiny and passersby, and possibly from the press.  Add to it open carriers and black boots, and people will really stop and look.  YouTube-type videos of a large group in "uniform" would be great PR for our cause around the country and will no doubt be circulated widely.

Just be careful about "uniforms". I can imagine them trying to press charges for forming an illegal militia.  ::)

This is rather neat. I would do without the mask.

Me too, but I think the mask would be appropriate at times.

I've ordered a jacket. :)

Like approaching the bench at traffic court.  My guess is that they have no sense of humor. ;D

And I also ordered a jacket. When I wear it out I will give my hand me downs to Torgo.
