I hope to be as (physically) close to Lauren as I can be at sunrise in the morning, and plan to be singing "The Peaceful Rebel" and "The Peaceful Rebel - Part 2" from as close as I can.

What is the best (address) spot?

Sunrise is at (what?) 7:05 in Manchester.  Gee, sunrise is sure easy at this time of year!

Join me or not!

" She's as peaceful as was Jesus
But that's not what they see
They just see this strange new rebel
Who keeps acting like she is Free . . ."

Kat Kanning

I think on Willow St. between Valley and Merill St. would be the closest to her, if what the other prisoners told us is correct.

John

Thanks Kat!

" And if you don't like her, you won't like me either
She's my kind of rebel, and I can't wait 'till she's home again and Free!"

John

Got there before 6:30, parked in the private lot directly across on Willow St., was spotted by prison employees, said hello, began to play, got some waves from the small windows after a while, began the walk around the building before sunrise, Jeremy arrived, several more employees observe us as we proceed, a bunch of guards came out while we are at the parking lot (apparent shift change time), we are polite and tell one that we are there for Lauren Canario, we proceed around to cemetery side, then back to private parking lot, played a bit more, and rapped it up a bit after 7:30.

Thanks for comming by Jeremy!

Thank you John.
I'm certain Lauren would give you a big hug.

I wish that I could give Lauren a big hug right now.  This is the best I could do - for now.
Bricks, concrete, steel, barbed wire, fences, guards, etc., --- and Time itself --- can not stand against the Truth!

History - and dear I say even those [free$%@#&Rs] who "practice" politics - will eventually judge Lauren Canario kindly!

This is a great idea. Makes me wish my trumpet wasn't still in Georgia. I'll look into having my sister ship it up though. Jim, you know any songs or at least a style of music that Lauren would like to hear on a trumpet? I could try to find the sheet music and practice. Then I could aim it right at her cell!

I think Lauren likes this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wiVkdVPGoY but this one might be good too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUxUbYUHExs.

Let me know if you need any props.
No wait...that's a bugle...let me look around for some trumpet stuff.

This song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fksNfKeJOww, was Americas best sell song in the 1920's and 30's.
I always thought of it as Americas soul, now I am certain, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3p_Rf0AY6E.

Good choice. Bugle Boy is more a song about bugles. I think music about liberty that might be recognized when played on a trumpet is a good idea, especially if it's also something Lauren likes. Something tells me if it's about liberty she'll prolly like it though. :)

I like the Firefly theme song too - "You can't take the sky from me." but I bet it would be hard to find the sheet music for. =/

EDIT: After listening to it again, it really doesn't seem like the right kind of music for the trumpet. A little complex and more suited to a string instrument. What a great (but short) song though. Listen to the words. Keep in mind that it's about some futuristic cowboys exploring the new wild west (outer space) in order to escape an oppressive and intrusive government.
