Wow, that's pretty cool.  I don't see what the big objection here is.

Maybe they are quoting cosmetologists and misspelled it as cosmologists, then this article would make more sense.

I've been telling people about this for years. It's finally come out in the mainstream! I thought I was the only one that knew the truth.

We should just detonate our own planet and save the galaxy.

should have been

"cosmetologists gossip that astrologists may have purposefully shoved the universe down the stairs to its death while watching American Idol"

Quotequantum theory says that whenever we observe or measure something, we could stop it decaying due what is what is called the "quantum Zeno effect," which suggests that if an "observer" makes repeated, quick observations of a microscopic object undergoing change, the object can stop changing

And of course we're absolutely sure that we're the only "observers" in the system  ::)...

Come on, people, it's all a simulation; we're the "South Park" of the metaverse. The only way we might destroy the universe is by failing to be entertaining enough and getting our series cancelled. That's why it's absolutely essential that the FSP succeed... a planet living under stagnant one-world socialism is going to destroy our ratings!

I don't know that little guy in North Korea is pretty funny.
In fact most of our so-called leadership makes me bust a gut.

Are you talking about aliens?  I'm not sure how the presence of aliens would refute or change the quantum Zeno effect.
