tendency of freestaters to make decisions based on bad assumptions

I have noticed (as has everyone else) that fspers have tended to state on fora false assumptions as though they are gospel, then act on those assumptions, angrily decrying anyone who would attempt to correct these errors.  Of course, anyone reading the debate about which state should be chosen would know that virtually every assumption made about this project has proven false, even laughable.

Having made some pretty spectacular mistakes, one would think that members would have changed their tune.  Let's just say that the quantatative approach is not being employed by the most vocal members, and that many of the more level headed folks are making their way off of this site and away from the FSP in general.  So many of the real activists out there simply avoid this site altogether.  Some have left the FSP, and a few have even left NH because they get tired of the stupidity.

Also, I'd like to whine about the fact that I have to repeat and reiterate statements I make many times because so many are either stupid or choose not to listen.

Ninelevenism comes to mind.

Disagreement is neither stupidity or choosing not to listen, it's just disagreement. Reiterating the same statement over and over without providing additional evidence or arguments is akin to bashing one's head against a wall.

Any body who leaves the FSP  or for Christ sakes moves from
NH because of any thing said on this or any site, or because
they don't agree with some ones activism.

Well lets just say they must have other problems.

OK, no need to see you around here any more.  Good bye, adios, sayanara, hasta la vista....why are you still here?  Go...get out.

Besides, this isn't the the FSP site, this is NH Underground.

Merry Christmas, Max!

I hope you have a happier New Year.

That was a very nice thing to say.  Dissipated the angry response right away.

Lloyd Danforth

Wasn't Max an 'early threatener'?  You know....one of the first to threaten to leave NH.  More than once.

OMG, that video freakin' ROCKED!  Its perfection was marred by a small typo  :P, but other than that... I'm convinced.  I'm moving to New Hampshire right now!  Oh wait...  ;)

So does anyone else think Max woke up during the night and found a lump of coal in his stocking?  :'(   :icon_santa:

Kat Kanning

Maybe that was it, Friday.  I was wondering if he was off his meds or something.

Little does Max know that all of us (ok ok it's just Caleb and I, when we are acting like goofballs) invoke his name when we get in trouble with the police.

"Max made me do it!"

or

"Save me Max!"

are our favorites ... and we also joke about being carried away by homeland stupidity yelling "Maaaaaxxxxxx!"

ok ... end of the max confession tapes

This statement makes it sound like you have no choice; is someone forcing/threatening/coercing you into making your statements?

If people are choosing not to listen, I would think ones time would be better spent speaking to people who would want to hear what one is saying.

Personally, I'm not concerned with how others choose to live, what choices they make concerning their own lives, or what is right for them in any given moment; my own life poses enough challenges as it is.

This is where I am, this is where I make my stand.

IME, the grass isn't any greener on the other side of the fence.

I'm certainly not stupid, so I guess I'm in the other category.

Didn't he want all of us to move to Belize last year?  ::)

Last I heard it was AK.
